You've got the right attitude about it brotha. Its definitely good for you to be moving more at 8 weeks. Even better that your stretching. Just Don't over do it.
I won't overdo it.
I like to listen to my body.
If I stretch I lightly and slowly apply tension to the target. And if I hit a tense spot I just wait until the stretch relaxes that spot and the stretch goes deeper.
My goal as of now is to focus strictly on stretching everyday. Then once my limber-Ness has returned with no pain I will start doing light physical activity.
I walk on a treadmill every other day. I do .7-.8mph for 1 mile. I walk slow while making very slow controlled walking motions. This allows the muscles, ligaments etc in the rehabilitation area to slowly and gently get used to the motions of activity again.
I don't think I'll be back to work until next calendar year. I still have much training to do before I'm physically ready.
Boy am I lucky to have a wife to support me through these hard times.
Boy am I lucky we don't spend a lot on our daily/monthly lives.
Boy am I lucky I put my money away while the money was good.
Boy am I lucky things are better and not worse.
Boy am I lucky I found a free treadmill on the sidewalk last year and decided to bring it home (boy has it helped)
I am just very fortunate in my life.
I feel like I must have done some positive things in my past lives.
Done some bad things too but most were minor things I've learned from.
Overall I think being a genuinely good human being on a daily basis can go a long way in karma's eyes.
I feel like the universe is looking out for me:)
