For the sake of our boy, hit me up on PM, I try to keep it a bit low here generally, its not my site or thread, but I will speak if I can help. Its about plants and open knowledge sharing for me bro always.

My aeration jug has been sustaining life since grow 1. I add a tad of mychorizae and a sprinkle of microbes each fill along with molasses. If it's a feed round nutes & life go in. If it's a water round just water goes in with the life

Overtime it has established a little ecosystem in there breaking down nutrients and such.

I shake it daily and nuggets break loose along with the free floating stuff. The plants seem to love anything coming out of my jug.

he was not my type anyway. His help comes with a hidden agenda, and if you dont lick his gold leaf balls, he wont like you. I am not a gold man, I like clay. I just figured cause he was a hydro dude, he never got the memo that soil contains microbes which generate, cytokines which in turn help our brains make Serotonin, which is why i am so chilled out and he isnt.
one of the things that always bugged me about him, he gave a vibe that said, I know more shit than you, so I am also a much better human too. This of course is utter bollocks, his understanding had substantial gaps as i saw it, either that he was too lazy to type the pertinent facts of the matter, something about which i do have issue. This data on growing forums needs to be accurate, this way others that follow us can make a better fist at recovering data and getting somewhere near the reality

that microbe family is really good at picking up excess N and P too bro. I grew one like it in my res, I have since had a good look at it and its perfect for helping restore Nitrates levels etc I found. It acts like Hygrozyme in fact, very cool to keep media clean

The only problem with all this biology is that my soil seems to break down very quickly. I need to think about a top dressing for flower.

try some palm tree ashes bro or even comfrey leaves just cut and dropped on, they breakdown fast, if you needed extra time with your media, may be have a look at composting more woodchip, increase the rate of C/N and this will slow the rate of decay. of course be careful you dont over tip. A rate of about 25:1 will be about 3-4 months.
I top dress palm tree ashes and confrey man, works well, I add EWC if I need to boost N and mix it all up. I also found Cocoa hulls to be a most excellent mulch

looks like you have lots going on bro awesome, do you own a scope? a 10-40 will do most of this, but to get in and see it all a x400 will amaze you :-)

oh, adding some palm tree ashes to your seed mix is cool too, it helps the new roots develop the FRO in the root structure to better assimilate Iron etc. Adds lots of microbes as a bio stim, largely
Frateuria aurantia. This microbe grows rapidly in among the ashes and so increases the number of K related microbes in and around the roots for on demand K

Any recommendations for a good value?

I only have a big one for trich's
I am definitely interested in what's going on in there.

I'll poke around online too for the top dresses.

I only see one palm tree ashes place and it's uk lol.

really, Guanokalong do it, they are dutch i thought. May be you should sell it mate, it is great stuff for blooms :-)
I use a compound scope, but it was about $300 with a laptop viewer and camera
looks good value, I understand its a lot still, but what you can learn with it, will push your growing to the next level in my experience. Knowing what you need, replacing only this, it is a more sensible approach to growing with biology. Know your tea is ready, not a guess a fact :-)

And man is it a value.

Notice I didn't say "you know a cheap one" lol.

Let me mull it over, Christmas is coming :).

The company of palm ashes was exactly what I was looking at.

For their 3 liter (biggest pack) shipping was almost $40

Got my micro tent today :D.

I call it micro because

1.) It is the smallest tent secret jardin offers. A mere 3sq ft of floor space & 6cu ft of airspace.

2.) It will only fit my 8 bulb t5 inside.
I could put a 150 hps in there but not sure I'd have enough distance from the plants for heat control.

I think 1 or 2 plants trained well would fill this space good.

I told my lady I was setting up a tent for herbs, spices and food lol. I'll have to start using my lower chamber on the main tent for veggies and such.

I'm sure I can start seedlings when I need to especially now that I have a 12 bulb t5. I can fill that 2x2 space better.

So I'll use the lower chamber for herbs and spices, and starting seedlings.

I will use the micro tent for continued growth out of seedling stage, and sometimes a flower session.

Main chamber is still mostly flowering. But also for the final stage of veg where they fill out the largest tent space before flip.

I'm excited.
I'm gonna setup this tent now.

But I'll have to wait for everything else before I can cut holes in walls & furnace ducting installing flanges, ducts, intake filter, inline fan etc.

I still have to buy hose clamps for all the flange connections. A 4" collar start for the flange to the furnace ducting, "4 & "6 hole saw bits to cut holes in wall and furnace ducting, extension cord & whatever else I've forgotten.

Hey what's up @rmoltis got quick questions for ya man, I'm gonna be getting a tent soon most likely a 2x2x5, is your current flowering tent a 2x2? And how many gals you got in there and what size pots are they in? Thanks man hope all is well:cool:
