So here goes: Elite Edge clone only shop in Santa Ana

First impression (after the heroically long book to sign away my rights), clean. Very Clean. Must sanitize hands before walking to the back. A stainless steel counter top separates patient and clone areas. You dont touch.

Racks and rack of clones. Big variety including Girl Scouts *must buy 50  They had out DJ Short's blueberry. Id have jumped on that if I had room for it not to be a good cut of it. Guy assured me they flower out all they have. a partial menu off the top of my head: Fire og, Diablo OG, Romulan, XJ13, Several strawberry things I dont recall, SFV OG LA Con, many others. The guy seemed to know the answers to the questions I had and helped guide my choices. Ill go back when I need new babies.

I settled on GDP+ The White, Chemdog D, Abusive OG and SnoCap. +1 free Abusive as a first time patient. The girls looked real good in the shop, if a little leggy. Roots white and healthy, blocks were a tad green but a dose of Caps tea will fix. Few hrs on the back of a bike and a quick swim in mitey wash stopped them from staying pretty. Pics speak 1k words.

They are a bit tall for my taste. I like to start shorter to better suite my tight quarters.

After being potted in sterilized chow + Caps tea and micos.

3 of the 5 tags fell out. I have 3 unknowns now. GDP+ the White, Abusive OG, and Chemdog D.
Guess I find out in flower.

Next time I will bring supplies more appropriate for huge babies and a way to secure tags to stem. What the shop did was excellent for a car. Who takes clones on a 100+ motorcycle ride in rush hour?

WTF brother those clones look like shit. No offense, but I would heavily inspect for any critters. They look neglected and not well taken.

They look like shit now. Seems these gals dont like long motorcycle rides. Looked great in the shop. be better in a day or 2.

Inspected, round 1 washed and quarantined.

Clones on a motorcycle. Nice. A buddy of mine used to tell me that all the deliveries in LA were done on sportbikes. . .no real aroma when you are not enclosed and moving at 75 mph. Interested in the snowcap and will be watching it progress with great interest.

If you got the real snowcap then that's a huge plus. I haven't seen that strain in years.

Looked around online a bit and the didnt see anything bad about the shop.I was planning on spending the entire afternoon club hopping to find suitable babies or beans.

Upon thinking about it today, I wish I did not post the name of the shop. Its unfair to them to do good work, have me destroy it.. then post pics.

edit: they already look better than they did last night. Ill repost pics in a few days once they have settled in.

Bud, that is the only thing I could fault them on. If they had been regular sized clones they would have had a less stressful ride home, thats for sure.It looks like many of the chopped off nodes are coming back, so when they settle in Ill top them to get some side growth and work from there.

But WTH, I just plan on momming them out so when my next run comes up I can have what i need . I just hope they flower differently enough I can be certain what the unknowns are.

just reading through this thread. Ive been looking and have looked for a good nursery in socal for a few years now. seems to be impossible. Ive been to all of them. what you have to do is jump in a car and drive 5 hrs to the Bay, grab a tray of the best clones with dozens of choices, grab a burrito on the way outta town and your back in LA before 5pm. blam. Ive done it in 10 hrs. About the same amout of time Ive wasted driving around LA in traffic, getting ugly clones, get bugs and molds. HHCOAK . Fresh air is nice too.

I live in the desert. Going to LA area is the same thing for us.

Out here we have crappy, oft repeated, bug infested and mislabeled cuts of schwag. Seeing a whole wall of babies to chose from almost made me cry,.

I was thinking about these long clones last night and a thought occurred to me: is it possible the clones are made very long so that the customer can take them home and take a cutting of the new plants themselves, rooting the new cut in their preferred medium? Can't think why else they would be doing this...esp, if the rest of the place looks tight. Cheers on the info, good luck nursing them back bud. ftw

Some like to leave lights high so the moms stretch up, this could lead to stringy clones, couple that with ones that have been sitting around in tiny cubes for a while. Continuous cutting of side branches to keep things clean and compact I think would be a must when dealing with thousands of cuttings.

Contemplating staring a grow log regarding this round of that unknown bubba cross so you gurus can guide my novice hand to better yields. Only 2 years into this, still lots to learn. Real question is, will I have time to follow through with it

yeah i was going to say that happens cause either they're fuckheads that dont really give a shit other than the dollar, or they're lights are so high so it can accomodate a bigger tray of clones.

either way that isnt bad, but its pointless to take a new cutting of something you bought rooted. waste of time and money IMO. if you plant it deep enough the stalk up to the branches covered will begin to grow roots. almost better in that aspect if you ask me

You convinced me. I did just that on the 2 that were not showing growth in the chopped off nodes.

A couple are doing much better, with new leaves going already, some still not happy. Not in danger, just not happy. Rounds of Azamax (spray and drench), bayer, and mity wash aint helping. The 2 I sunk to the bottom of the plants had fair root expansion already. Looking hopeful.
