best time to pollinate

just wondering if anyone can give me a few tips on pollinating female plants..when is the right time to ? and i am only doing one branch what is the best way to go about it?

well have you a male?

id gather pollen, and paint it onto a branch with a thin paint brush.
. id wait 1-2 weeks into flower before pollenating, and itll take 4 weeks for seeds to develop
