Black Spotting Mold Killing My Please Help....

Hey there farm world. I have been noticing my plants have been getting a black stem at the base of the plant right at soil level which eventualy makes my plant look very sick than dies. It is now on a few more in the room. Does anyone know what this is and how i can fix this problem begore it wipes out my crop

Need a lil more info to help you. What medium? What size plants and pots? What stage are they in? Pics? Whats your favorite color and whats your social security number lol?

I'm going with PButter. It's stem rot,does the plant just lay over?too wet.

I think its hard to grow mold on stems w/o too much water in medium... PButter called it right.
