Blazing heat, smoke-filled skies, illegal! What could possibly go wrong?

I went pretty hard on them, yet they survived. Sorry for my confusion, double posting again, it’s been awhile. One picture is from the Alberta bad lands. We went for a good hike there and my knee held up. It’s been slowly healing seams like it.
Kind of reminds me of the good old days when you were out there with your purple plants and snow on the ground! Lol! Was going to ask you if you rappelled down that face!šŸ˜šŸ’ yeah they will slowly feel better, but the damage is done in there You can slide by for decades like I did but once you hit 60 and the knee goes south on you it won’t get better! But who the hell ever plans on seeing 60!šŸ˜‚šŸ»

Pretty cool! I've never been out in the weed patch at night. Your video has convinced me it might be interesting. One problem, temps. are dropping into the 40s at night which means I have to wear all the clothes meant for winter. 🫤
I read the corn earworm moth flies at night. Too late for this year, but maybe next.

Rooke! Your poor plants, and poor you! You know I 'feel your pain', but looks like some is salvageable. I was able to keep some of mine too. If everything goes well with this year's harvest, think I'll trash last years, just 'cause I don't fully trust it.
If I hadn't sprayed and we had the rain and cold like the last couple years, mine would look like yours. šŸ™

Pretty much gone! As far as I can see! I’ll dig a little deeper out there today! I’ve been giving those plants a wide berth to keep from spreading the little darlings to the other plants! So far that has worked!šŸ‘
Excellent. Good to put away in the books and know

Yeah, you should! Make sure you have a decent headlamp! In a desert like Climate, that’s when things come alive! All kinds of stuff running and flying around and eyeballs, staring back at you from the distance! I love it! It doesn’t hurt to have a lamp that has red and green. The white light will attract moths and that’s the last thing you want to do!šŸ˜ If you have one, take your UV flashlight out there with you and give them a once over!

Back from the mountains, the deer are safe for another year, last year we saw 3-4 deer in a week, but this year we saw a lot of deer, 60 or more, unfortunately the only one with a hood ornament was standing ten yards off the highway! Many of the does had 2 fawns, and one had three, which bodes well for next year. The kid (my buddies grandson) I had with me almost got a bear, he saw it go into the brush and had the crosshairs on it, but couldn’t see the front of the bear in the brush, so he didn’t shoot. I was quite proud of him for that! The plants are in deep senescence, but with a 15 year old with me I couldn’t harvest. I’ll either harvest in about three weeks when I close the place up for the winter (weather permitting) or have a neighbor pull them. The weather was pretty mild lows in the 40’s, highs in the upper 70’s. But this morning it was 27 degrees. Here’s some shots:

A couple of the smaller plants have a very purple pheno:

Plants are looking pretty good considering the absentee caregiving! I’m proud of him too! At least you didn’t get buck fever, and start spraying rounds all over the place! I can think of things I’d rather be doing than tracking a wounded bear! Lol! You’ll get one next year!šŸ‘

I saw something 1 night while cking on my plants. Some star or something. Gotta pic I'll find later šŸ™„
Lots of things out at night, but the eyeballs are not fun, lol šŸ¤£šŸ«ŖšŸ˜‚

What’s going on, BB! Really good to see you! Yeah, still flailing away here! I imagine you’re getting ready for typical maine winter! Hope the pot gods have been smiling on you! I know you had a beef, but it would be nice if you could stop by here every once in a while! If for no other reason, than to start some shit with me!šŸ˜‚šŸ» you are missed in this quarter!šŸ˜

Whittled the Uzbekistan down a little! We’ll take some each day for the next few days! Got my sled loaded up! Now I just have to tie it off on me and grab my outriggers and drag it a couple of hundred yards back to the house! I have to drag it over a few logs, so I don’t wanna put too much in there and dump it out on the way! Time to make like a rented mule!šŸ»

You need to get you one of those motorized carts like Cp has. I hope that box holds up til you get back to the hacienda.

It’s due for some reinforcing tape!šŸ˜† The trail back is too rough and narrow for anything motorized. It’s an adventure to negotiate it with my crutches! Once you get along the pond, everything is at an angle! When it gets wet it is, slicker than snot on a door knob! I’ve been down a few times! Lol!
