And AI didn't mention the Massasauga. I've seen twice when I was young up in Indy Dunes.
Yep, went with the kids on a field trip to the local park and saw one on the trail about 20 feet ahead of us. I think it was about 2 foot, hard to tell, it was booking outta there. And AI didn't mention the Massasauga. I've seen twice when I was young up in Indy Dunes.
Most didn't even know they existed but they were there, watching....waiting...for that best time to strike and make us their slaves.....yup...drunk and buzzed again. It gets pretty crazy for the next few weeks of this month in my parts. It's mating season...bucks are chasing doe's 24/7.The last big buck I got was with a Buick, I have a theory that all the deer in Ca. live within 50 yards of the highway!
Looking pretty sweet! I'll be checking on my mountain grow on Tuesday, temps have been nice during the day, mid 80's (but no humiidity, like 10-20%). Lows in the mornings running from mid-30's to low 40's. If your's are still a few weeks out, I'm guessing mine are at least that far out, looks like "habeus yankus" in November. The anorexic cheetah was getting Amber so down it went! Nice bud, but it never really got after it like her buxom sister! She is a really nice plant! She is still day to day! But soon! The rest are weeks out!View attachment 2699483View attachment 2699484View attachment 2699485
Maybe the cold will speed them up a little for you! This one just kind of stalled out and started senescing about three weeks ago! Hasn’t done anything but harden up since then. The other one is a lot better representative of a modern hybrid! Beautiful plant, but much like Zappa’s fur trapper, strictly from commercial! Lol!Looking pretty sweet! Largus Californicus nymph would be my guess. A true bug not a beetle. No segmenting of the thorax from the abdomen.Aphid update. Their numbers have decreased dramatically to the point where they are inconsequential now! But I’m not sure if those larva I released are responsible for it! I haven’t seen one full-size larva yet! And their three week larva stage will be up tomorrow. But due to the timing of it, I would buy them again! There are a ton of wild lacewing eggs on the plants! I was out after dark last night and hit the headlamp, and there were lacewings flying all over the place like little fairies! Lol! I’m still trying to figure out how they lay those eggs on the end of a filament! Maybe somebody out there knows what these little beetles are! Probably a quarter inch! And they look all black to the naked eye! I don’t see them doing any damage but they like to hole up in those boxes that I hung the larva in!View attachment 2699945View attachment 2699946View attachment 2699947
Thanks, old timer! I think you’ve got it! I’ll do a little research and see if they are problematic in anyway!Largus Californicus nymph would be my guess. A true bug not a beetle. No segmenting of the thorax from the abdomen. View attachment 2700051
You bet. Hey old man since I've thought about it again, I've been meaning to ask and kept forgetting (nothing unusual), how much did that Sinaloa produce last year? Thanks, old timer! I think you’ve got it! I’ll do a little research and see if they are problematic in anyway!![]()
Not much! Maybe a couple of pounds out of all three! But I don’t blame it on the strain! I started running out of light in mid September! Pot plants don’t perform well when the final 4 to 6 weeks is more shade than sun! That’s not happening this year! I would like to try it again just to see!You bet. Heya Chucky how are you doing? Hope all is well with you and your gals. It’s been almost 3 weeks since I did a major pruning of septoria leaves. And since then we had a frost which stalls it I think. Thanks, old timer! I think you’ve got it! I’ll do a little research and see if they are problematic in anyway!![]()
Awesome,Rooke! I knew you would still be in the game! Old habits, die hard! Lol! Must be getting pretty close! Couple years ago I was checking out some cats up in Minnesota who said they wouldn’t harvest until their buds got kissed by a little frost! Did you ever get the knee taken care of? Same shit different day here! Easy street!Heya Chucky how are you doing? Hope all is well with you and your gals. It’s been almost 3 weeks since I did a major pruning of septoria leaves. I went pretty hard on them, yet they survived. Sorry for my confusion, double posting again, it’s been awhile. One picture is from the Alberta bad lands. We went for a good hike there and my knee held up. It’s been slowly healing seams like it.Awesome,Rooke! I knew you would still be in the game! Old habits, die hard! Lol!
