That last picture looks like something else is going on now? pH swing maybe??

Are you planning on topping that plant?

PH has been consistent. Not planning on topping it no. That one has had a lot of stress. Plus I just flipped to 12/12 so I don’t want to stress them out anymore than needed.

Think I got it figured out. They were thirsty. I just watered on Friday so they are drinking it up!

Yeah you hit the nail on the head. Underwatered they go limo like they gonna die. Overwatered the stems stay stiff but leaves droop.

Underwater much easier to fix and they bounce back fast.

Now thats the best way to know how dry and light your pots should be when its time to water. ;-) well a little sooner.

Just a caution about that. I have missed a couple in flower in the perpetual and they wilted bad and even though they recovered they lost a bunch of lower leaves the days after and it affected yield and low bud quality.

When i see lower leaves start to droop i feel the weight of the pot and when on the cusp i tend to water now.

I do let them go a bit drier in veg and stretch to encourage root development.

So stop me when I get too paranoid or worried lol. But woke up today and they’ve got some drooping going on. I scratched below the top layer and soil is still moist, not dried out yet. On the natural one, there are a couple of yellowing leaves. Again sorry if I’m being paranoid just dont want to kill them! Thanks again, y’all have been so much help! I will also say this is at the end of the light cycle, they go dark in about 30 min.

So I calibrated my pen and tested the water I’m giving and PH is above 8!! No bueno. Any recommendations on how to get it down into the 6’s?

LOL I knew because I did that myself recently so don't beat yourself up over it, it happens

I used a jug of water with a pH of 8.9 that I thought I had already adjusted to 6.5 and I got a bunch of weird Leaf growth myself last month

I use fish drops now instead of meters I've got a handful of dead meters LOL, I don't trust them anymore I used these hope it helps!

Edit: if you're looking for a pH Down product I recommend citric acid (powder)

You called it man! Does that water PH need to be lower or higher? And if so how can I adjust it?

Hi Curious...

I think the problem is magnesium lockout due to acidic soil cause by rain water.

Switch to tap water or spring water and feed her with oxygenated compost tea (Seaweed extract, Molasses, mycorrhizae fungi or humic & fulvic acids) .. try to avoid runoffs and prune those yellow leaves.

I am pretty sure, she'll be back on her feet in less than 48hrs.

I disagree completely. Rainwater is the best. I use it whenever possible. My plants love it. Might be different in NYC but here in Oklahoma my rainwater is about 5ppm which makes pH irrelevent
The tomatoes and peppers also love yummy rainwater..

I switched to tap water after reading that post lol. I have rain collection barrels and thought the rain was the best but I’m a newbie so I didn’t know. And I have heard that QBs make the plants need more Cal. But guess I should have stuck with rain!

Imo nothing wrong with rainwater if it's clean. You may need to add back some minerals like calcium or magnesium if your nutes aren't meant for rain/RO/distilled water.

Again nothing is a rule but being aware of the differences is important.
