So the bong i got for Christmas literally broke before i even got to use it, it was a really nice 20” straight tube bong that i absolutely fell in love with and picked up at the shop with my mother a few months ago, so Ive been looking forward to using it for a long time now. And then of course, the day has finally come to open it up and use it for the first time... and it breaks...
Usually when glass breaks on me ill just go out and replace it. But i really really don't want to do that in this situation. This was a really special gift from my mother that costed over $350 and I was absolutely in love with this piece. So theres no way I'm replacing it if theres a chance it can be repaired, even if said repair costs more than the piece itself.
Really the only things that need to happen is the base needs to be reconnected to the mouthpiece, and it needs a new joint since that broke clean off. Both breaks were clean with barely any chips/cracks, so I would imagine it would be possible to repair. But I'm not quite sure since the piece is pretty tall n thick, and the mouthpiece broke right where the perc is, so the top part of my perc is attached to the mouthpiece while the rest is attached to the base. So in other words my perc is broke in half too.
With all that out of the way, i just want to know in your guy’s opinion if you think this bong is possible to repair, or if i should just pay my respects and move on. And like I said earlier, it doesn't matter to me if the cost of the repair is more than the piece itself, i would literally pay anything just to have this piece back
