Some people say fans on and some say fans off when using a sulfur burner. Anybody know the science behind it?I've used a sulfur burner at 4 weeks before..shit turned out great. Sulfur spray, and serenade a couple days later would be an alternate..but may not be as effective. You only need to vape the sulfur for a couple hours at night with everything off. You don't need to remove your filters and fans. Then turn your filters on..the room needs to be sealed really well where your tent is..place will smell like matches for a couple days..but will save your crop. Gonna be difficult to do if in an apt. Unless you can be stealthy and crack that door open to vent afterwards.
Most of all get your intake air filtered well..haven't used my sulfur burner in at least a year.
no science that comes to mind..I shut mine off fwiw. Some people say fans on and some say fans off when using a sulfur burner. Anybody know the science behind it?
whatchya filtering your intake with? Wayne turned me on to these http://www.reliablefilter.com/filters/dustlok_filter_media.htm ..and haven't looked back.THAT is the kinda attitude that leaves for little creativity @Capulator .
As the moderator of a POM contest you don't change up the flow or change the rules for me to stay interested and EXCITED about particpating, and I know im not alone.
Isnt growing about accepting all the wonders of the plant, including the very unusual disease they get.
I think that this photo would be top contender in a POM contest of photos of diseases.
We need to stop hiding behind pretty buds. Lets see the truth dog gone it!

well some say high levels of sulfur could ignite kinda like a match does when you strike it.but the fans also move the sulfer to one side of the room when really you want it to rise from the burner and kinda mushroom out and cover the whole room and its contents with sulfer.so too much wind would effect what gets covered.but you are also supposed to turn off all sources of ignition like timers and fans, lights, ballasts, heaters. i sometimes run a small 6 inch clip on fan set at low speed and positioned about 6 feet away from the burner if im only trying to cover a certain part of my room which is sectioned off.but when i did that i never ran full cycle burns,i would cut it down to maybe 1.5 hours long assuming my room was big enough to have enough oxygen avail to keep it from igniting lol.when i worked greenhouse and we used burners,my boss was a stickler about turning off all power sources and sealing up house during and for 12 hours after.we used 4 larger burners set at 3 hours burn time in a house about 25,000 sq ft. i run my small burner for 2.5 to 3 hours filled half way in a 240 sq ft room with 9.5 h ceilings so about 2280 cu.ft.hope that helps, peaceSome people say fans on and some say fans off when using a sulfur burner. Yo Sixstring, when you say "cover the whole room", I take that to mean that the sulfur lands on the leaf. So if fans are left on, would they knock the sulfur off?well some say high levels of sulfur could ignite kinda like a match does when you strike it.but the fans also move the sulfer to one side of the room when really you want it to rise from the burner and kinda mushroom out and cover the whole room and its contents with sulfer.so too much wind would effect what gets covered.but you are also supposed to turn off all sources of ignition like timers and fans, lights, ballasts, heaters. i sometimes run a small 6 inch clip on fan set at low speed and positioned about 6 feet away from the burner if im only trying to cover a certain part of my room which is sectioned off.but when i did that i never ran full cycle burns,i would cut it down to maybe 1.5 hours long assuming my room was big enough to have enough oxygen avail to keep it from igniting lol.when i worked greenhouse and we used burners,my boss was a stickler about turning off all power sources and sealing up house during and for 12 hours after.we used 4 larger burners set at 3 hours burn time in a house about 25,000 sq ft. i run my small burner for 2.5 to 3 hours filled half way in a 240 sq ft room with 9.5 h ceilings so about 2280 cu.ft.hope that helps, peace
