You might want to look into the problems and lawsuits PG&E has been having over these SmartMeters. Our power bill went up after it was installed, I know that much. If you're in an area where there may be many wifi signals, that's another reason they shouldn't install one for you.

Can't have people growing weed to make money when the idea is to eradicate the middle class and have people broke ass poor. Self sufficient people are less willing to suck government tit for sustenance, and they still area afraid of pot production taking business away from their own black ops drug corporation. Two main reasons I think are behind it. They started the smart meter thing on the west coast where there are the most grows I think that is a clue.
