Browning Leaves, Please Help!

I have a decent size space. Probably enough for 15-20 5 gallon pots. I'm only doing six right now. Do you think that a diamond series 400w led would be enough for flower? Or maybe I need the 600w. The plants are in the middle of my 6x5x8 tent I made. I really want to do led for a couple reasons. Mainly I heard it saves a lot of money on AC, and puts off way less heat compared to HPS and MH bulbs.

i personally dont think led's are worth the money yet. plus winter is coming and ac shouldnt be too much of an issue. i would go with the biggest dimming electronic ballast with air cooled hood your space will allow... that way if heat is an issue you can turn them down. even with ac blasting, it is completely worth every penny of your electric bill.

Have you heard of that 1000w gavita pro? That light has an electronic ballast and the double ended bulbs. Would that be chillin? I was interested in that originally, then I saw the diamond series and got side tracked haha.

Yeah I get what you're saying. Maybe I over fed that one? I give all the plants the same amount. Maybe I should give that one a little less?
Yes, I think that one is going to need a little playing around with to get the feed schedule dialed in just right. Watch her, watch for the lowers yellowing in a halo kind of pattern. That's usually the first sign of a magnesium deficiency.

yup i have 8 of them... the 1000 are almost too bright!! do you have 8' ceilings? if you do go with the 600... great lamp, less electricity... i would DEF go with the gavita over the led, all day! its a lil more money but try to get the air cooled hood with them..

Yeah, it looks like a brown halo. Is it possible its just a shitty clone lol? Or is that type of browning specifically for magnesium deficiency?

DAMN!! You have 8 of them?! That's legit. I talked with the local hydro store and he highly recommended them. And yes, I have 8' ceilings. So, it looks like I'll be getting the 600w gavita then lol. But, as you said, and as the hydro store confirmed, worth every penny of bill. I'm stoked to give this light a go. From what I've read and heard, it sounds kick ass!! I'm only running T5 lights right now. I know the plants would be stoked to get some serious rays.

just make sure you introduce the light to the plants slowly... gavitas are no joke and put out tons of light and can stress your plants big time

If you take a look at my thread, The Charts, you'll see what I'm talking about. :)

just turn the lights down to the lowest setting and keep them a good distance away from the tops... every two three days turn up light a notch.. when you are at the highest setting start lowering the light til you get about 30 inches from tops

Would I be fine plugging in that light in my reg outlet? I don't want to burn my house down lol

What do I do if I want to expand? Do I have to have my electrical company come out? I would think that would be sketchy...

make sure when you order your light you get the one you want... gavita makes a double ended 6/750 ballast AND a single end 600... my local shop just ordered the single end for me and i wanted the double ended...

Okay...I was looking thru this catalog and they had the gavita pro 1000 and 600 double ended lights..but I didn't see any air cooled hoods with them..where do you find them at?
