you might consider lst your new clones for more branches next time. I would never keep my moms in dwc,too many problems compared to soil or coir. I have seen bubbas put out over kg. with 5 week veg. Hope you have a good harvest. JK

I'm growing Bubba Kush Katsu cut for the third time. The first time I put it outside and got some nice smoke. The second round I tried topping to leave 5 or 6 tops per plant. But I made the mistake of not removing the large fans that block the bud sites.

Below the leaves, the buds were half the size. I got my worst yield ever off any grow with these. They were vegged for 6 weeks, but growing it bush style was inefficient for this kind of plant. I did cut off all buds the bottom 2/3 of each branch leaving only a grow tip.

(Bottom Pic:)Now I'm moving into week 9 of veg. and I'm using a screen to maximize the number of bud sites. I have been removing any fans that block any buds. The buds then grow up and pump out new fans. I've never pruned as much as I have on this grow.

From what I've read, Bubba only yields packing them in like 4 per square foot or being patient and growing an enormous bush. Outside , apparently she yields well.
Instead of 5-6 tops per plant, I'll have 15 -20 and none of them blocked or in shadow ,making the most of the footprint of the light.

Hope that helps you. Just to compare. A single Chemdog D yielded as much as 4 Bubba Kushes. Same sized plant too. The buds are all leaf, once you cut them away, you'll have plenty of hash material.

Update 4
Bloom: Day 53

Peace to all: Heavy Weights, Sr., Jr. THC Farmers, Trial users, and Guest’s.

The ladies are at 6 weeks now... 4 weeks with the 400HPS. I’ll probably let them go another 3 weeks and flush for 1.5 weeks.

So… 9 out of 10 BK cuts I took have rooted, from those nine 1 was chosen to be a mom and put in a 3 gallon pot. 5 were planted in 1/2 gallon pots. And 3 were placed in 4inch RW cubes... those 3 will be used for LST, TOPPING practicing purposes.

I also have a Double Underdawg cut donated to me on 1/09 by the homie at Suite 215 that rooted nicely. this beauty has been placed in a 3 gallon pot.. And YES... she will be a mother plant! :winking0067:

Speaking of mother plants a week later that same homie at Suite 215 hooked me up with 2 more cuts!!, CVK (ChemValley Kush) and HAOG (Hawaiian OG) I can’t even begin to tell you guys how much I appreciate the love and respect shown to me here….

I first came across this site in May 09. I was looking for information on OG strains and was immediately directed to the Cali Connection page here at the farm... as I would read and browse through threads I knew that I had found what I was looking for and I told myself…”I have to work my way up to some Cali Connection or Raskal OG gear one day…” I mean after all, this is my backyard... But first, I’d have to pay dues with what I have - then I can move on to some Real genetics…

When I first started this current grow it was 2 BK and 4 HOG (Hindu OG according to the bud-tender) cuts that I took from my moms that I grew since Aug 09 …little did I know that the “HOG” cut I had grown into a “mother” was indeed a “father” plant! So I took out the 4 and ended up with the 2 BK…
I even called the dispensary back and let them know what happened… at first the dude was trying to tell me they didn’t carry the “Hindu OG” lol! They didn’t even know what it was! + I wasn’t calling to argue.

Too make a long story short... They said to come in and talk to the manager and I would be taken care of immediately!!

I’ll probably come in one day and tax for some top shelf; they can keep their mystery clones (hahaha)

This plant had a nice strong scent to it and it would have been a high yielder too. plus I spent time/money to keep him alive... it sucked to kill him.

The cool thing is I learned a lot from this.:cool0010:
