I wish i knew more but am not a mantis specialist...just find them very impressive, strange and beautiful.Those are indeed some beautiful pictures, and some pretty colas and bugs, I currently reside in the east but really miss the west. I have a mantis who has adopted one of my plants as a hunting ground and he has shed his outer shell three times already, Each time the shell is bigger and a different color the last one was pink and yellow but when i saw the mantis the other day he was all green, do you know if mantis are able to alter their color at will? or if the pigment in their shell changes color when it is shed?
