I'm more concerned about LE knocking on my grow. Any advice?

Any specialised attorney who could help me start my grow?
Just pay your own electricity bill straight legit, don't complicate it by having to find an owner that would allow that kinda modification. Finding an owner to allow that use is tough enough already. Make sure you situate yourself to be compliant with AUMA / MMRA guideline down the line.

That sounds pretty cool, I just had to turn down a job offer the other day. The money wasn't what you're describing but it was about the same as my 9-5, and I was stoked to get the offer. I told them to call me back when they could pay me with a paper check, nobodys gonna give me a mortgage with under the table income.

Im Glad you bring up the proof of income issue, Savage. I too have been struggling with this. I graduated college in May of 2016 and like many recent college grads I was at a crossroads in life. I graduated with a B.S. in Environmental Policy, something I am very passionate about, however I've long since been interested in agriculture and cannabis. Following Graduation I went to work for a collective/farm in humboldt as a grower. The money was good, the work long and tiring, but enjoyable, yet it was essentially all under the table. I originally only went out there with the intention of working the summer, however I enjoyed it so much that my employer and I agreed I would stay on. I returned to my home state on the east coast for a brief break that I had arranged with him in order to prepare to live there full time and yet as I went to book my return flight I was informed that due to financial reasons, he wouldnt be able to have me back. As a result I tried to look for alternatives in either the envi stuff or cannabis. I decided I wanted to pursue cultivation and I had 2 friends that wanted to join me. We all worked at the farm and we hada plan to do things on our own. The biggest challenge we discovered was the inability to use our money to secure even a rental property!! This really screwed us not having any proof of income. In high nad sight I shouldve just started an LLC and reported the earnings as a private contractor for my "cultivation consulting"..oh well, live and learn.

This was obvi dissapointing, but just another example of how hard working in the quazi-legal industry can be. I have

If you're an environmental science major, I would think that even non-cannabis farming entities could have a place for you given our new groundwater act, which I've learned more about through aquaponic sources than cannabis (hope that makes sense).

Yea, there def are opportunities. I would really like to merge the two and I do see a huge potential for that. A lot of the regulations we are seeing are related to environmental/land use issues; be it fertilizer run-off, zoning, illegal usage of water etc.

Just find someone to sell you magic beans for the price of your families' only cow. I swear capitalism is going to kill this thing with so many people with their hands out.

Have you done any research at all? Are you aware that the current medical cannabis Market in California is about to be in upheaval?

Upheaval? Please explain...I'm growing and am interested in the issues you know of

Lol right. I'm about to go drop off resumes at these mega grows I speak of. I just heard about a mediocre grower getting picked up by a big corporate op. And he is getting 12k/ month. Sounds bs to me, but some people are real good talkers

Was that the same deal Walter white got?

Discouraging but thanks for all the replies. I guess the biggest problem is the Cali saturated market. If the free market doesn't welcome you, no reason to suffer the legal hurdle.

My idea was to only grow. Not to build dispensaries (stay away from spotlight/feds).

To find a warehouse, there's specialised realties. Certainly at a premium but not prohibitive.

Missing the deadline (prop 64) means game over for my legality in Cali.

Again, thanks for the replies!
