bro you aint joking,this past summer made my mind up gonna do a outdoor,we just moved here and the folks next door were trying to sell there house,said been trying for over a year,well he finally got orders to go and did,so im thinking hell it been for sale that long maybe on the fence line i can get a grow in,not,deer and rabbits wiped me out 3 times,so took and started another 2 behind the shed put a temporay fence up to keep um out,all going well,then come to find out there is a private airport 2 miles from house,planes rolling over all time,the old timy narc planes if you dig,i said all good,i done got a 5 week veg on um and just keep um short,then i noticed every time i would go into town ,there was a damn cop sitting on road for speeders,didnt think nothing of it,then i was working on the house and noticed this bastard rolling by every day for 2 weeks,im parinoid as hell now,so went on some reco one day bored and found out the ass lives on the property behind me,panic mood bigger than shit,i was just about to yank them bitchs up and mama stopped me,said hell you aint got but a few weeks left on them and you can come out and work um in the dark,,so i did,worked out ok i see better in the dark anyway,so then here comes hurricane harvey,thought i would lose um to that,shit they tromp right on threw that,so after the hurricane i got that scope out check them thrics and had cloudy ,them plants went in the house with that scope dig,,lmaoI understand bro. I will say this about the newer generation hybrids tho. While I aint convinced they are more powerful overall. I am digging the flavanoid and terpene profiles we are getting due to all the crosses and hybids. But at the end of the day I toke for effect not flavor. You should only use straw, comfrey...etc until you have leaves from your plant that's growing then only use them leaves and stems for the next five or more years. It's a circle from the soil to the roots to the leaves and back to the soilView attachment 759630
Here's why I need to move away from alfalfa straw...when I put plugs in i try to rake it back but some always falls in the hole. It burns them a bit but the worms will make fast work of it once it gets in the humus layer.

To be sure, I understand your statement of being a "breeder" preserving the cultivars. Preservation should be the ultimate goal of anyone calling themselves a breeder. Other wise we will be left with nothing but chuckers with the flavor of the week hybrids. But alas in todays overdrive society wanting to cash in quick, not many have the dedication , time, or patience to really work with a line. I do myself hope n pray that there will be a cannabis gene pool Renaissance that will steer many back to the preservation side and not the get rich quick schemes of many of the young gun chuckers that are prolific now adays.... One can only hope. I havent lost all faith as we both know there are still some good ole boys out there looking in the right direction.....:D:smoking::cool:
