Use in cookie recipe.
Measure 3 different sizes of cookie, weigh dough or use a measuring spoon.
Test, test, test.
(oh, and keep the dough in the fridge while testing)
Make the rest of the batch.

I have a gadget that stirs the butter and decarbs the weed at the same time.

And the cookies can be small, like the size of a quarter and do the trick. LOL

What do you call expensive? I can buy 5 grams of concentrates for $30 in my area. $30 worth of concentrates goes a long long way in magic butter. lol. The last magic butter I made lasted a couple of years. It went rancid before we could finish it. I used about half the concentrate and made a quart jar. I still have the other half of that concentrate I purchased in the refrigerator waiting on me to make the next round.

5 grams of concentrate would be a lot to use all at once. Lets do some math together. Assuming that the concentrate is 75% THC, that means for every gram of concentrate, there's 750 mg of THC. If you used 1 pound of butter and your concentrate has 750 mg of THC, each ounce of medicated butter would have about 47 mg of THC. 750mg divided by 16 ounces = about 47mg of thc.

If you used that whole pound of butter and you made 32 cookies, each cookie would have about 23.5mg of thc ... That would make a nicely dosed cookie. If you're a lightweight, eat 1/2 of a cookie. If you have high tolerance like I do, eat 2 or 3 or even 4.

This got me researching, thanks (: I'll definitely try out some high % hash for a next batch. At least now I know my last bar (210gr finished) with trim and bud mixed was an estimate 2905mg, with 56gr butter used for around 12cookies, so about 64.6mg each. Even though estimating without labtests is still a guess. They hit good.

The math I used was accurate but I have no idea how much butter you would use to make cookies. You would adjust the amount of concentrate to give you your desired strength per the amount of butter you use in your recipes. I hope I'm making sense .... lol

Absolutely, i understand what you mean.
Loads of different recipes so if i used this butter for regular chocolate chip cookies it would need about double the butter for the same 12 cookies. I just realized the amount of thc in there and am glad i didnt make those for people without knowing. Concentrate actually sounds like a better way now to properly make multiple batches, more accurately and for different uses. I bake a lot for others as well. And if the taste is that much better, I'm hooked.

Concentrates still need to be decarbed prior to use. Keep that in mind.

The taste is still yuk, but in the background intead of 'in your face'. LOL
Which is why I use chocolate. Seems to mask it more than anything else I've tried.

For sure make a few different strength brownies then as an after dinner game guests have to decide if you put one gram or up to ten in the one they just ate. Like russian roulette but with chocolate cannabis brownies 🤢

It's been years since I looked at our local dispensary's menu and boy has it expanded. Prices are better too. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for when another crop bites the dust and I have to purchase.
BTW, my most Septoria resistant plant has shown a major weakness to botrytis. Big fluffy flowers, every other one on the stem shows rot. 🙁

I don't mind the taste of edibles made with concentrates. I much prefer it over the taste of green butter. It's really down to individual preferences. Both methods work.

I don't see how they could affect weed taste for edibles as I don't think anything can be drawn out of a thick seed shell... but we all know that nasty taste when a seed snuck into the bowl. 🤣

When you're decarbing and infusing you should really break your weed all up really good and if you do, just grab a credit card and shove your pile around on an angled surface. You'll get the bulk of your seeds out pretty easy that way. Also a lot easier to break apart when it's dryer like around 55%, the seeds roll out of the husks easier. I'd rather do a minimal amount of sifting and throw seeds in a random ditch than see them go completely to waste.

Hmmm, you must not be in a legal home grow state or country (if you're not in the USA). That's a bummer. Cannabis should not still be causing people legal issues in this day and age.

Exactly why I'm not on some european forum that's being watched by the wrong people. Half the neighbourhood grows but no one dares speak of it. Drones are instant panic for everyone. Its so stupid growing em is still illegal but buying isnt.
