i use this same app, i like the dli setting, it lets you input the light schedule you are using

U can grow straight in castings..I did trials with none, 25%, 50%,75% and 100%(with perlite) and the full were way way more resistant, greener,and survived in container size for much longer w/o regression other then pot obv overall pot size
I would advise casting tea at anytime in veg and early flower for the resistance factor

Can not remember where, but I thought I saw an experiment where somebody had success germinating in 100% fresh castings.
