Slow moving bad, fast moving good
Those look like russet mites
That is awesome. I could look ignorant but screw it. I've never heard that.
I'm doing bug research now. I have some recycled soil I'm using and I noticed very little 6 or so legged brownish bugs on the top of the soil running around. I have new seedlings and do not want them attacking the roots or plant in general. My first instinct is root aphids but I don't have any roots really yet. Haha they kinda look like the second pic you posted but they are not clear like the first pic. Good luck I wanna know. I'll be stopping back in.

Slow moving in soil they are recyclers or root mites. I would smear vaseline around the bottom of the stalk on the plant to prevent any from crawling up the plant and then put a good inch or so thick layer of diatomateous earth as a top dressing for the dirt.

x 2 - This will save you a lot of headache
