there's something wrong with you people.

Whose sphincter has inner detritus? I mean, what a crappy thing to say! Bring that grommet over here, I'll punch its top hat's ticket! With Astroglide!

Room is up. not quite a full C.H.U.B.B yet. I am not happy. I started the plants in 6" rockwool. They are in the system. I don't like having 2 types of media. Its too hard to control the watering. A true C.H.U.B.B needs to be 100% one type of media to be effective. I am going to cloning from a turbo cloner and then going straight to perlite next time.

They have been in there about a week. Lost 3 last night. Same stinky stem rot infection. I think it was hanging out in the system somewhere. I did not do a physan soak this time and I think I am paying for it. I have a couple random plants in 70/30 perlite coco that I will be replacing the dead ones with, assuming I don't lose any more.

Tonight I am going to remove the survivors and dunk them in a h2o2 bath to kill the infection, and while I am doing that I will fill my system to the top with physan to kill that fucking rot.

Stay tuned.... I still plan on winning.

no pics yet. not a full C.H.U.B.B.

I will be building that out in the future. It's important for me to have all the same media when C.H.U.B.Bing.

I'm back in the saddle again. Reloaded and ready for a bumper.

Last run sucked. Lost half the plants. Might have a record plant in a purple kush that was surrounded by 4k, but other than that it was pretty poopy. Switched it up this time to all coco/hydroton in the baskets, transplanted from EZ cloner, so NO MIXED MEDIA. I believe that the 6" rockwool in hydroton was no bueno.. all of those plants died. All the ones in 50/50 killed it. Anyway these are getting veg'd to 30" this time. SLH does not stretch.

Coco wall O' Dank will be:

Colombian landrace
Fruity Pebble OG
White HAshplant BX1
White Fire
Kosher Kush

Got a new chiller. 1/2 HP commercial. Keeps my uninsulated buckets @ 63 with lights on.
Running humidifier (go mainland mart!!!) and RH holding at 50% which is better than the 28% it used to be.

Running tea with my bennies this round, and a new biofilter. Jr PETERS nutes, with aptus boosters.

I am confident I will be crushing this round. cackalalak.

The higher RH made a big difference for me, although I went to 60-65%. At these levels, you have to up your EC since the plants transpire less. CO2 kills it at this level, too.

Your rockwool/hydroton experience mirrors mine; I think the rockwool gets and stays too saturated, killing the roots right around the mainstem. Bad juju.

yeah the rockwool needs a lot less water thanthe hydro ton. This way I veg them in the netpots and they drop right in. roots are hitting the water in less than 3 days.

aw fuck I stunted my plants already. didnt calibrate my pH meter and turns out it was a full point off. been hitting the plants wit 4.5... no bueno. caught it today when I noticed leaves curling down. Calibrated. checked again with manual solution. adjusted to 6.0 after a new res change. hopefully they bounce back quick.

running at 1.0 EC.

MPB Hybrid revival!

Cap you's classic bro. Cheapest salts you can buy for your base nutes, while simultaneously using the most expensive supplements on the market.

Plants are looking good, keep up the good work.

"Its a DWC/MPB/DTW hybrid with bio filters and lots of microbial action."

BTW, you forgot to also make it NFT, HP Aero, LP Aero and SWC. What's up? You must be gettin lazy ;)

Nice journal and your new system sounds like something I've been wanting to try is it at all similar to ecogrowsystems? I am currently doing hempy style beds with bubba kush katsu cut and recycled coco. I have been considering chow buckets with hydroton on the bottoms inside another bucket or tub recirculating nutrient solution maybe similar to krusty buckets but would be sub irrigation except for the first watering. Who knows what I will come up with. BTW anyone who wonders if his benes work I bought a kilo of each when they first came out and love them.
