Thanks Con 420. i do believe the V1 to be the original Chemdog D, most likelly the Crip cut?you speak of, i can trace it back through 2,3 people.
the other one has a massive stretch week 2-4. with big fat then more slender leaves.it is actually getting a chemy whiff so who knows for sure, at the mo i'm guessing on a diesel/chem cross. i did ask the owner of v2 if a mix up was poss, he said no.... so ?

Hi mack glad youve done this thread as I,ve got both versions gowing as well, as you say I reckon one is a Chemdog D sour diesel cross or chems sister its a super commercial plant with a big yield and gets a meaty smell toward the end but no doubt the other is the original Chemdog D. I'm finding the original Chemdog D a lot more tricky to root can take three weeks. Got both at four weeks into flower so will put some photos up for comparison if thats OK. The original has more of the meaty smell whilst the other has a meaty smell mixed with something else. Both keepers but I'd say the Original Chemdog D is a better smoke but the cross may edge it for vigour and yield. The cross maybe the Chemdog D crossed to the CC sour diesel as they originated from the same place. Also got your Blues four weeks into flower starting to smell nice. Big respect from making the original D available.

v1 is Chemdog D. without question 100% your v1 is the real authentic Chemdog D. Dont let anyone else tell you other wise.
v2 is Chemdog's Sister. Greyskull would be able to better identify the Chemdog's Sister than i can though. many people passed around/were given Chemdog's Sister labeled as Chemdog D. There are plenty of people out there that will swear up and down that there Chemdog D is the real Chemdog D, when its really the sis.
The Chemdog D Progressive Options vends is the Chemdog's Sister, so its no wonder so many people think they have the real Chemdog D, but in fact dont

first off, @ baffonman,thanks and no worries, i think its the sis, most likely.glad your enjoying both:) i too find she takes abit longer to root, but she yields fat for me, prob slightly better than the sis/v2. Got both on deck again so i'll update with the new chems sis pics first.

@ smoke trees, you know your chem! thanks bro. i have had the exact same thing, people just will not believe what you say,lol. the real D is a ripper and turn's lightweights(even heavy smokers) green on the first try,i love it.
Actually nearly lost the D, but managed to reveg it! woohoo! so look out for the newly invigourated

A little late but just read this thread and found it to have a lot of good info. I don't access to the Chem cuts but have Evolution Seeds Ultimate Chem 2011 in flower at week 4.

I've noticed the mosaic trait on one and added 10 ml of Cal/Mag per gallon to my base nutrient. I run the 3-2-1 formula of Jack's Hydro and never had to supplement it. I know the Chems are big Cal Mag whores from what I've read.

I wasn't aware that the mosaic trait is common to the Chemdog D cut. Nice to know. Is this strictly related to light intensity? She's the only one showing this and its not overwhelming. Doesn't seem to have any negative effects overall. I'm assuming this might indicate she's leaning a little more Chemdog D side if things.

Thanks again for this thread. I found it to be quite beneficial.

Holla puliese63, the Chemdog D is definatly light sensitive, if you blast her under heavy hps she will freak. and the mosiac thing,although it can get/look pretty bad it doesnt seem to effect the vigour or buds,(in my experience)Always add extra Mg to chem strains.Also it can take 14-21 days to root.So don't rush her. Also, she (Chemdog D) revegges just fine,in case anyone wanted to know?

Loving the new original Chemdog D a lot nicer than the Chemdog's Sister I had got a lot more of the meaty smell and more resinous. Sorry for the poor pic.
