Thanks guys.

Gator,
I have the diffuser from adjust a wing, but it doesn't seem to help the hot spots on the edges.

The room is just gorgeous and very well laid out. How about simply increasing air movement to help alleviate the hot spots? Do you think that might work for you?

Lead,
roots are coming out of the bottoms but not the sides yet on the smart pots.

Shady,
gotta keep it clean. Building a room? At least I am good at that. We shall see after this run what else I may be good at.

Seamaiden,
Thank you very much. The room is still a work in progress. The air circulation is good in the room, but you can actually feel the heat difference with you hand (confirmed with the temp gun), and you see the increased light intensity. I don't know if more air circulation would change things. The plants in that row seem to be taking it better now that they have been transplanted for a little while. I think that once the plants are more established, it won't be as big of a deal.

This is going to be a totally screwy suggestion, but it's just how I roll.

Instead of a light diffuser, just take bamboo stakes that are tall enough to allow you to tie on pieces of shade cloth so as to simply, and slightly, shade those warmer areas. Like shade sails or... what are they called? Damn it, think 'cabana' or 'umbrella'.

I have bamboo stakes and shadecloth on hand, and that's what popped into my head.

Well,
I was hoping for a dime bag, or a nice cheap watch, but I hear you on the experimentation. I will be re-spacing out the plants this weekend to cover all the lights, and I will fiddle with it a bit then.

I hang box fans in line with a row of lights, at light level. Even on my air cooled hoods.

Thanks guys.

Seamaiden,
glad I could return the laugh. Wish I could just hang for some coffee and bong loads right about now. Gotta go right now. Running late. My last cheap watch broke.

Gator,
I will put on my happy helmet just for you.

Carson,
the adjust a wings are very light and like to blow around even with an oscillating fan in the room. Gonna experiment later with some weights on the corners.

Sofaking,
thanks buddy. Just wait for drip stage II

Do they still make those lead fishing weights that you can just press onto the line with your fingers? That, or add beading, to make it pretty and reflect more light. :giggle

I only need a minute to see about getting you set up with a copywatch. <grin>

Lead tape on the reflectors would work.

Update Time

Ok so here's a little update. I've been working on getting my veg room more optimized for the coco growing. Lets see what we got.

First, made table and gutter like the flower room.

Mom area.

Under the tables, plenty of open room. Brutes used for reservoirs.

There's a downstairs area for new plants. The current tenants: 9 Alien Dog V2 seedlings.

Clones just beside that area. Got some Sour OG and Chem Valley Kush going.

Sentinel climate controller.

New Sharp 8k btu unit installed. It has 6" vortex fan for cooling it mounted up in the rafters.

The room still has more to come like to get the actual irrigation system.

Ladies?

Oops, did anyone want to see the ladies?

OK, first is what I just started with. Chem Valley Kush girls packed in.

Some big Sour OG's in the mix with some Chem Valley Kush's.

Then I spread them out a little and cranked up light #4.

Thanks JP, I got my apron on. Would you like fries with that or just the sandwich?

All kidding aside they are on day 8 of flower. How bout a little stretch? We shall see if I waited too long. The sour OG's are my only worry. Keepin the fingers crossed.
