Not on facebook so I can't check the first one. However, the sasquash looks ok, but 6 weeks out? That isn't ok.
Yeah, I know a place that has them in stock now.

The only thing holding me back on the Dab Daddy is the fact that it's manual. It has a feature that I have never seen before that could possibly incorporated into another press I suppose.

What about this one . Didn't see this one mentioned in the thread yet. Says it has a 8x16 plate. Let me see if I understand this... 8x16=128in, it has 12 ton jack that's 24,000
24,000/128= 187.5 psi? That's not near enough right?

It depends on what sized bag you actually press. If you pressed a bag that was 8x16 yes, the amount of force would be 187. If you pressed a 2x6" bag it would be 2,000 PSI, way more than enough. Hope that helps. If you planned to do full 8x16" bag presses, it would not be nearly enough, especially for flower.

@benson.elvis on instagram is crushing it with the Sashquash. check it out.

I just spent a half hour reading this whole thread. I am also in the market for a press. Here are the presses that interested me on this post. Reviews would be greatly appreciated, as this market has very little reviews and is tough.

1) - is this enough PSI? From what I read it's not.

2) - This is the one I have been looking at the most, any cons? Not enough PSI also?

3) http://rosintechnologies.com/products/rosin-presses/rosin-technologies-pneumatic-heat-press.html - This seems like overkill for only 3000 PSI. $3600 seems expensive also.

What ones did you guys end up going with? Results? Yields?

Why not the Hercules press from Extracted Colorado? Been very happy with mine. Check my sig, been squishing some quality meds. Everything is getting better and better with some practice and technique.

I don't know the specific psi's that you need to get your maximum yield, I've read in this thread you need more than 1800 psi ( a couple sites selling expensive commercial presses claim you only need 500 psi). If thats the case I haven't found a single commercially sold press to this point that has enough power to press even a 5 x5 plate. To me a 5x5 plate seems kinda small to work with as is... If anyone out there has a 30 ton with 5x5 plates. What's your yield generally? How much flower would you attempt to press at a time.

@Bulldog420 is the Hercules press you speak of a press or just the plates? Been trying to find the best unit to press large amounts of keif.

Not exactly sure the answer to that question.

You can buy a frame from Harbor Frieght. So I guess you could just buy the plates, and the controller. However what I ordered from Extracted Colorado was:

The frame - They design a frame like Harbor freight, but the jack is pushing from under the plates, so if the pump ever blows you wont get oil in your rosin.

The controller - I was told it's UL listed, but I think the contacts are the only thing UL listed. Don't quote me on that.

The plates - I am using 3x6 bags for my plates. I press 30-40 grams per flower press and can fit around 100g of kief, but I haven't figured out how to seal the bag with that big of a press. I do 40 grams no problem.

200 flower bags - once again, 3x6. Then I order more from Rosin Evolution . com .

The price keeps changing, because I think I might have been the very first press. However I think it's around 2500$ for everything I listed and delivery. Might have gone up. Been seeing a lot of other presses in person, and I like my Hercules press the best.

doesn't really matter rules are the same for all of them. its like ur saying ur trying to find the best temp still basically.

Who makes the best 3×5 plates? Don't wanna order twice lol

Got in on the second set of frames and plates from Hercules. so I'll be about 4 weeks out for my unit. Thanks @Bulldog420 for the heads up. Now I need to rig up a cement mixer to produce dry ice kief.

Got your back there too. @The Terps

Talked to dude on the phone and ordered up everything he recommended. I am getting my drum upholstered right now, but soon I will have her up and running. Mass volume with a controller for speed. Metal screen so you can throw in dry ice. Dude sells the metal screens, and gave me both a 160u and 90u for various quality. WAY higher quality than those cement mixers IMO. Check out the video, dude has been doing this for a while.

Not saying this is the best, but a great option for sure. It's where I landed.

Congrats on purchase. I expect updates when you get the hang of things.

Till it stops bubbling. Around 40 seconds.

Depends on heat and pressure.

Is anyone making rosin with trim? Not tumbling the trim for dry sift first. Straight trim?

For personal, sure, I guess. However not for sale. If you want a product that is high enough quality for the market, you need to spin it, NL it, or bubble it.

That carver looks like a pain in the butt. No room on the sides for over flow. I see lots of oil dripping out the sides. Happens on mine and I have a good 5 inches on both sides. For sure can't do a big kief run on that little thing.
