Really not much to put together.. Skunkpharm has it pretty well covered and tbh thats where i learned 99% of what i know.. I just studied alot and spent ALOT of time practicing and learning what strains like what temps.. i luck out that i can work with the same strains XXX Times

But its really basic and covered out there.. the main thing is just Temps and HOW LONG your vaccing for.. I dont spend 12+ hours on my runs.. most of my runs are finished in 2-3 hours.

My runs im proud of :D But its also taken me YEARS to get where im at.. Alot of money and alot of changing / experimenting.. READING.. asking questions.. READING MORE lol..

Really people just need to spend more time with more strains to get the best understanding of the whole shabang.. Its like growing pot your first crop is not gonna be top shelf somethings gonna go wrong.. So you learn from that.. and the next grow gets better..

If anyone has questions or something like Heres what i did heres what i got.. What went wrong? I'll be happy to TRY and help :D

But im not much of a guide write tbh lol Im more of a just take pics and let people see and enjoy what can be done at home with an open tube a griddle and a stainless steel chamber :D

Also for those curious i use POWER 5X There's a chart floating around that shows the PPM of ingredients we don't want and power 5 came out with the least per 300ml plus i get it for like 175 a master case so..

Theres also a chart both of which i think are on Tokecity.. that shows the Micron levels of different vac pumps and what temps / sea levels they start to vac off cannabanoids and terpense both.. ( cant say i fully understood that one but ) What i gathered from the main posts was that the vac ovens are pulling too deep of a micron causing most runs to YES be shatter but also lack the serious terp content we want/need.

Ordering a 2.75 quart Pyrex vacuum chamber that comes with a 3 cfm vac pump,and a temp gun. So the oil in the chamber should never itself be hotter than 70 or so?I know im making this harder than it should be...thanks for your patience. Do you ever use oil slick pads? Was reading somewhere that butane oil will leach off the silicon on the pad,matter of fact i think i hit some oil this guy made with those pads,and i felt poisoned and drunk from 2 hits...so im going to assume those pads are potentially dangerous,what do you think?I think im gonna scrape Pyrex.I also read that parchment paper adds silicon to your product as well,what would be a safe alternative? We put all this time and effort into extractions to have them ruined by parchment or slick pads wtf. I guess glass jars would be suitable. Thanks again for your time.

edit-i notice you said you use power 5,wouldn't winterizing remove all excess butane?

The oil its self should never get over 110-115 range past those temps your gonna start cooking out terps... 90-100 is good.. It really all depends on what strain your working with.. could be 80 could be 115.. Just gotta use yer temp gun and keep dialing it in till you find the right temp.

Ive used slick pads in the past i do not use them any more as they break down and release silicone over time/use Ive just had bad experiences with them in the past so there just not for me :D

and yes if u blow butane into them they will leach out the silicone ive done it my self.. ive picked out bits of silicone from my oil as well.. those pads are not ment for contact with solvents.

Stick with Glass if your gonna spray into anything.

Parchment paper is not made with a layer of silicone its actually just chemically treated with sulfuric acid to create a gel like surface which is smoothed out and flattend given you a non stick surface.

and no theres no acid left its washed out with water and dried before the papers put on the shelfs :D

But blasting into parchment has its own problems.. stick to glass then transfer to parchment then finish off the vac that way.

Winterizing just removes waxs fats lipids ect.. your if anything just adding more solvents to your product vs. taking them out..

Heat and Vac is all you need to produce a clean product.. and all the other stuff :P

Does It auto-budder after two weeks? I know someone using propane and it not going so well

Your friend should try lower temps in his oven and colder solvent and finer filtration in his extraction

What solvent would be colder then butane? it comes out the can at near freezing or even below freezing temps....

Ive once tried the whole put yer tane and weed in the freezer and then run it with less then favorable results?

People are getting brute contaibers full of dry ice and water and soaking their big cans in that. This guy is using medical grade propan (N-propane) which is really expensive and comes smallest in 10lb tanks
