Which test? I belive hlg has all thier lights 3rd party tested or atleast verified. So im not sure I would buy it from a YouTube er if thats where
Actually same with this one too.

Ok don't quote me on this but it appears that is spectral power chart (input) vs output spectral chart (intensityof spectrum emmited). Different spectrums are more efficient like red and blue.

Would have to look into that further but I believe this is the case in what you are seeing

That would make more sense because hlg is a pretty trusted company.

Yeah to me it looks like that's the case.
You suggested the 225, should I not the worried about the bad coverage? I know the youtube testers aren't the most accurate but they consistency show a much higher ppfd in the center than the outside.

All lights will have this effect. The spread is actually pretty good on this light. Unless you step up to strip lights you will always encounter this.

This light would be more than $500 for me after shipping whereas 2 sf1000 lights would be $385. The sf1000s would have much better coverage just a bluer spectrum.
One more thing is that the spectrums for these hlg lights are really red, I don't think there would be enough blue for veg.
And the sf1000 has ir

This might sound weird but could I cover some of the bluer diodes to get a redder light? If I'm getting the 2 sf1000s then there will be enough light to do that.

If you are worried about the cool white diodes on the sf1000s you could just get 2 hlg 100s, for the same price (actually 10$ cheaper), they have them on amazon unlike that other hlg so that should cover the shipping.

Tagging you on my thread, I have one of each of these lights and I have been comparing them.

Beat me to it. Great minds think alike.

There's no hlg lights on amazon.ca. On the hlg website it would cost the same as the 225w, >$500.

I grow under 3k spectrum... honestly you can grow under 3-6k you just need some adjustments. Your over thinking it.

Whats more important to you leafy vegetative growth or buds?

Well nobody would say veg growth but Wouldn't it stretch the internodes during veg defeating the purpose of the red for shortening internodes during flower?

I grow under 3500k

Red will lengthen internode space not shorten.

Many thing affect that, day/night diff light intensity, FR:R ratio.

Here is a read probably up your ally. I lost count how many times I've posted it lol.

Red makes stretch not blue. Life science class 1972

So blue shortens internodal spacing and red increases flower growth?
