When a seed sprouts the first two round leaves are called cotyledons, they contain all the fertilizer the plant needs for the first few weeks of growth.

slight tip burn is ok.....thats lets you know you have reached your limit on said plant....
I dont go by the addage that autos cant handle more then 1/2 strength
I have seen people run high with autos and get great results
everything is always strain dependant

Yes I have noticed on a lot of grows, that the plants have slight tip burn and grow trees. I also noticed that a lot of grows show difficulties bit still end with a successful grow. I am relearning the stages of growth, and let's just see how I am doing this time next year. At first I was scared to do much, but I realize that there just plants and common sense will go along way.
On a separate note, I am really impressed with the runt, or the bucket he is in. Wiser you did a good job helping me get the runt back on track.

For what it's worth 482 ppm today without topping off. That's down from 596 since last night. It's consuming more food than water!! Right???

yes your plants are about to start stacking....they are looking great...they are gonna explode on you
you have been doing a great job so far
it is your willingness to listen and also research what people say to see if they arent steering you wrong....
absolutely you will do even better next grow....
the only real thing to never do...is become complacent in your grows...always have to stay active and vigilant or things really will go wrong

Hey when they say autos can only handle half strength nutrients???? What I want to know is can I follow gh feeding schedule when they are seedlings? It is way less than half strength. Or do they mean that what ever is recommended should be cut in half no matter what stage. I mean they only feed at 150 -200 ppm when a seedling, so an auto seedling should handle that. Right??? This half strength shit with autos gets all confusing. And for what its worth, i see small tip burns on my biggest auto, yet the photo acts like it ain't shit. This is so fascinating to see... Its like raising my kids all over again...

Some autos need way more than half strength.

Seedlings don't need fertilizer, they have enough to last them the first few weeks.

In my dwc I always have seedling in some kinda ppm. 100-150, they grow a lot faster imo. And no way I could go a few weeks without feeding.

I think.....with the seedling thing....people get information mixed up
When I run in organic....I would just leave my seedlings alone....once the roots hit the nutrient rich media they began to feed
but in a nutrient void media....i.e water/coco etc....you always have to start out with some type of nutrients
I am with you Jay 100%

I think we both held his hand to this point on occasion....
In my belief .....even just one encouraging statement....helps progess someone through.....without shared knowledge

really all we have done is steer him in the correct direction
the answers are always out there....whether they come from you or I.....or an article on the net.....we all are just vessles....it .....to me.....is how the user decides to interpret that information and follow through or not.....I think all 3 of us have done a great job to this point.....but this grow hasnt come to the finish line just yet

man I wonder why @wasfromks dissapeared......he had a great grow with us

Yea I've tried the, let the leaves feed the plant thing and didn't have great results. the round leaves (i can't spell) turned yellow quick and plants weren't happy. Threw 150 ppm at th em and they blow up. I like rapid roots or what ever gh calls their root booster. I've used it a couple grows and started plants in just that. But light base nutes work just fine for me.

Glad to see shit going good for ya event. Plants look lovely. You should be amazed with the quality of buzz you get. I lie I was the first grow. Felt like a high times article or something

I really wish I had they knowledge you do. I've never seen you steer anybody wrong.I should prob have more knowledge when it comes to helping people. I just remember how it felt sitting in the dark, wondering what info was good, so I have to help. It's so hard to pass up a thread when I know I can help.

in coco I only let them go until there first true leaves.....well actually that isnt entirely true
I hatch them in plugs
when the first true leaves start to form I transplant into coco and feed a super light dose of bloom nutrients....like 200ppm as the p/k really help the roots establish and form....after about a week I will up the dose untill the explosive veg stage...then I push them hard right up to flower.....then I taylor back a little and start to ramp it up by week three when they are starting to stack flower sights....and gradually up the dose and then back down before finish....kinda like a wave

I've blindly kinda follewed the same program. But just from watching ppm and the plant. The ppm needs follow the exact graph you just described. Just like a wave. It's so awesome to confirm some of the things that I belived from experience.

yeah something like that.....some kind of enzyme or bacteria....that helps with growth.....but again.....I dont let them go
to long.....if I start to see any signs of yellowing.....I will spray them with a super light dose of pure blend tea by botanicare
other people I know will use dutchmaster liquid light....
but just gotta give them a little boost ....dont want them to show any yellowing....to me that means that progression is slowing....which is now setting you back

yeah I just kinda broke down and described what most people follow unknowingly....because I believe that is what the plant wants......
