hey @Wisher619 i have a question about cal-mag ( epson salt.. )
this is only relivent to the solo cup id imagine because up potting in soil would fix most deficiency if your plants are healthy and not picky i guess.

anyhow im using maxsea, micros, im wonder if i should add some cal-mag now to watering since its living in such a small environment.

any thoughts on this? or should i not worry about it till there is a problem.. my last solo #1 had cal-mag lock out. among other issues im sure. laughs. so i just counted and im day 45 with solo #2 as you can see i starved them but have since up there food.
they are eating much more food than solo #1 ever could eat lol.. im assuming the damn 4 tops is not helping me on saving food :D

so if you are using a nutrient with Ca in it you dont need to substitute but if you are using something like organic that has no Ca
you should substitute
Epsom Salt is Magnesium and Sulfur
that helps with chlorophyl production
but does no good without Ca
so just a good Ca suppliment would be best

Tap Water is a good source but you would have to have a water analysis done and have at least 60ppm Ca to be usable

im on a well. looking at maxsea webpage i get this.
so i can assume it has ca in it?

id guess its a trace element? if this si true, i had more issues in my last solo cup than just a cal-mag lock out if so. but it did live in teh solo cup for almost 3 months. i plan on flowering much sooner.

do you notice I always have problems with borderline N tox..
I think its the calimag with N in it..
Well just got back from seeing the outdoor girls...
I forgot pics again.. sry. i promise next week..
They looked better.

maxsea has NO Ca in it
Ca is a secondary but for cannabis it is a major element
you should have
100ppm N
100ppm Ca

the thing with Ca in coco
and this is what I noticed with feed higher in Ca
if you have good buffered coco
and you keep it moist
then maybe you need to run Calmg for about the first 2 weeks to set the cation exchange bank
once filled
and you keep the feed consistant
as long as you have the same amount of Ca as N you will be good

the way to tell if your feed has enough

look at the back ratio
for instance Maxibloom has 5% N
and 5% Ca
alot of times
what people diagnose as a Ca deficiency is really a Mg issue
and you can substitute with a sweetner or a wee bit o epsom salt

This has to do with the cation exchange right?

If I follow correctly, the coco is actually pulling more of certain elements which is what requires you to constantly have to water to keep from getting unbalanced median?
Is the most common dif in coco ca?
And because of that other elements get locked out?

well then will the median if not properly fed, will it pull elements back out of the plant?

ok thank you.. do you have a ca recommendation i need to get some for my solo cups.

i see calmag etc but not just ca other than in health food shit.

im probably looking for the wrong thing.. just need a little bit since i only need it for the solo cups.. by up potting i do not have all these head aches you get in a solo cup it appears.

no but the exchange is with PK N Ca
so when one gets pulled out the other replaces
but once you fill that void for CaMg then you should be good
if not it can lead to K toxicity
so a steady diet
consistantly moist
are the best practices with coco
