I am thinkin of tryin my hand at RW ....6" blocks
not sure
either coco or RW in my DTW
hard to decide

coco is easier though
Rw is awesome too..
Just requires a lil more attention until its roots fill it out..
Kinda like everything else :)

coco is easier once you understand coco :)
as with anything tho :)

coco is pretty fascinating..
But just sticking to the wicking ability,
I personally only flood an inch of my coco in veg and it does great..
Hell i vegged in 55 to 60 degree's wicking like that at 500 ppm,
and it did great...
but do you think the higher pots would make a difference than having normal hight pots... so cube form?
more or less oxygen swaped at flood..?

i also have a 5" thick hemp insulation mat i wanna try growing 1 plant in that for a hoot. first i gotta see if its got some funky pesticide in it tho.

I have no idea and wouldnt think it would be enough to change much. That is prob a question for Bill Nye...... lol

the taller the pot the longer it will take to wick

i guess logically a wider pot would push/pull more oxygen through the substrate quicker having more volume in the water. thus pushing more air out as it rises and pulling more when it drains. the slow wicking would not exchange as much air as it would have less suck/blow power going through the coco...? wat ya rekon:badboy:

To be serious, that would be my guess too.

so I don't think that hight matters as much as time of feed

standard would be 15min 3x a day

more if dry down is quicker

as long as you use standard fill and drain fittings etc
was checking those fill n drain sets... two fittings for 50-60 wtf. crazy 1/2" n a 3/4" fitting should be like 5-10$ will definatley be diy
