Same here..but I think they're more of a nuisance than harmfulI use a drop of dawn dish soap and water in a bowl to hand pick them, but if you hate your neighbor just go buy a trap, take the hormone bait out seperate and throw it over there. Those traps are a set up, it attracts ALL of them for miles to your yard, they lay babies and come up next summer. Never use the baited traps![]()
They will eat every single leaf to nothing and as soon as they mate which is constantly they drop down and lay grubs in the roots of thr plant they were screwing on and in your grass. They are extremely invasive, Japanese beatles are specifically also bitter so birds dont like them typically, unless you have natural predators they spread like wild fire. Be careful with them, been battling them for 30 yearsSame here..but I think they're more of a nuisance than harmful
There is a BT type spray that Arbico Organics and a few others sell that will kill the beetles after they eat it. I haven't used it yet. They will eat every single leaf to nothing and as soon as they mate which is constantly they drop down and lay grubs in the roots of thr plant they were screwing on and in your grass. Beautiful! how do you keep your tomatoes disease free? They look awesome…By the time my first fruit ripen they’ve lost most of their leaves due to pm and some fungal infection…one and done, I get like 4 or 5 good size fruit and maybe a few smaller ones and it’s done.Flower bed is humming along, tomato plants too. Had our first Cherokee Purple tonight. The nasturiums love the south side.

Two years ago my weed was devastated by Verticillium wilt because the dirt we bought had the fungus. I learned that bio-fungicides will slow it down quite a bit so I treated all the weed plots and flower/tomato plots with them (multiple) and it worked. It was either that or grow them in a different place each year. (not happening)Beautiful! how do you keep your tomatoes disease free? Waste not want not. ExcellentBTW, after I'm done spraying my weed plants, if there's any left I spray the tomatoes and zinnias too.
Good luck!.
