@Aqua Man hey i have a chiller on the way. I searched on here and found a previous thread where you mentioned 72 as the ideal temp. Do you still agree with this? And how low should i go near harvest time to encourage ripening?

I was thinking 68 would be ideal, but curious to know first hand experience

Update pics
Getting that Frost!
Still about 4-5 weeks out from harvest, this is where the magic should happen lol

Hell yeah. Here's a crazy thing. I hooked up 2 of those GH air pumps to a 18 gal. And I thought "oh yeah this gun b gud" a day later my ph rocketed up to 7.5 and I kept adding ph down and it wouldn't budge. I had no idea wtf was going on. Then I thought "well maybe it's the extra air?" And sure as shit, took the 2nd air pump off and the ph dropped back down to 5.8. I have no idea the chemistry involved but it was the addition of that pump. Just a thought to keep in mind.

Weird for sure.

Also, I went with 2 inch uniseals, contrary to everyone telling me they leak, and...they leak. Lol. With 31 gallons pushing against them at least. Maybe less water weight and they wouldn't.

Yeah maybe with that much water, each bucket only holds 4 gallons for me, so maybe I'm good?
Haven't seen one leak after install cleaned up.

Yeah I need the extra air power for those massive air stones. I have a few pounds of root mass for each plant, they need a lot of air ASAP. One bucket is a solid root mass all the way down.

Right now I'm only using orca and the ph has been solid. Plus now I have a ph controller so it will always be on point without me watching it, which I'm still in awe about. I can hear when the peristalsic pump comes on and it hasn't, besides me testing it. It's so cool to look back and watch a live ph and EC measurement

I have the ph alarm/trigger set at 5.9 and it has been good at 5.7 about

Getting that mf #$?! Dialed in
Installed chiller and pump today to make rwdc. Got ambient air of 75 but water right at 70.
Fyi They are getting fed tomorrow, if anyone is wondering if that is where I usually keep my EC in week 5.

Pretty wild stuff. Glad to see the upgrades are workin out. Appear to have things really dialed in. I'm still wrestling around with the most basic of automation concepts 😂 but I've got faith. Whatever you doin just keep it up. Plants look fkin great man

Thanks boss, it feels real good. Still hate doing it late in a grow. But I felt forced to do the upgrades ASAP to battle root rot. Came to the conclusion that the root system outgrew what the system could provide. So it def looks like I'll make it through this one, but can't wait to start from the git with this new setup. Debating going sterile now that I have a chiller and the temp is holding.

I'm popping the fem seeds now getting ready for next grow.

Wanted to see what they looked like without the grow lights
Holy bananas trichfest 2022 in that b lmfao. Great job growmie, ive been afk for a bit so catching up on ya grow. So far lookin fire bro. Im liking the ph doser, luckily my well water is predictable, i just add 1ml of ph down and im always 5.9-6.2.

I rock 65-70 degrees in my res, havent thought about lowering root zone temps vs just lowering room temps for that trich spike. Cool idea though, I shall research further...

I'm sure your heard of ice in the last week, cooler rootzones and cooler night temps are really beneficial for bringing out any colors and additional frost I believe. At least from what I see people on here doing. Let me know what you find out

I got nanners!!! Getting Close to harvest, so I'm riding it out.
I think it's due to the root stress that I've been combating. One plant is developing seeds in the sac, all the rest are empty. And I only see one nanner out of all them growing inside a bud... It's the same one that had a seed in the sac.

Been researching, and I've read that some strains will always do this, idk... Still got a lot to learn, but think I'm on top of it now, so that the next grow won't have this issue.

@Madmax I read some of your posts on another thread about seeds and hermies. What am I looking at here? A Hermie? Pollen sacs or seeds? Are the ones at the node pollen? And the ones in the bud seeds?

Idk...

I dont see the nanners, I just see the calyx's which Im assuming contained the developing seeds. First things first: figure out exactly what caused it, you say root stress, but MAKE SURE it wasnt anything else that might have caused/contributed to it. Have you had any significant temp swings, PH/EC swings? Are there any plugs/dehu's/etc that might emit any light? I caused nanners on my Fire Afghan cookies a couple weeks before harvest cuz of light from a dehu I missed. I harvested just fine though and only had a few undeveloped seeds since it happened late in flower like you. Genetics are definitely what ultimately will determine a plant's capability to hermie, but if your environment is DIALED it will happen less often imo.
