Not really. You don't want to dry you weed from end to end. You want to dry for a couple days first, THEN finish them them in the freezer. You can do it end to end but only with a small amount. Definitely not pounds.

Which method? You guys are going a bit over board. Use the herbs no dryer if space is limited. If you can control temp/humidity and air flow (like tent absent of light) hang drying then jaring. In all cases you want to catch it right when the stem first snaps. Then jars. Always a good idea to burn, how often and for how long will depend on part 1. My best results hang drying have been at 67 deg and 50% humidity for around 12 days. The herbs now dryer makes a great product, it just shouldn’t be judged till it’s jar cured and the moister that’s left has spread eventually. Papers bags are fine if you messed up step one. Drying and curing isn’t as much of an art, as it is a learning curve. I have stuff in jars that is years old, doesn’t smell like hay and still has a Greta kick and taste.

And by method I just ment freeze or non freeze I get what you’re saying though hang dry then jar cure is the only way I’ve ever known, just open to learning and trying new things I suppose patience is key

Honestly it’s days to a couple weeks max in jars after the dryer. It’s smokable right out but gold after a week or two typically. I know what you mean can’t keep it on the shelf once it’s dried lol

I do 10-12 days low 60’sF and RH at around 60% .... then to jars for daily burping in the same cool environment but less humidity.... the bud comes out smooth every time provided I did my part as a grower

That's the way to do it. But my problem is having to stay home (no such a big deal with flu and self isolation. lol) and doing 4 dozen jars eeeeevery siiiiiiingle daaaaaay. So I automated it :)

But seriously, tell me how you like running out of weed in April or May? That doesn't happen to me anymore. I had almost 1k plants in the ground last year. But I live rural and am lucky to be blessed with good spots, soil, water and sun without having to drive hours.

so I use an automated bucket system, as opposed to the jars.

Put the lids on, hit the timer and 3-4 weeks later you have a perfect cure with zero failures. Doesn't get any easier :)

Well any volume automated system could never dry and cure weed as well as an experienced grower burping a few jars as needed. Its always a compromise. The buds dont all need the same treatment just like each plant can be a little different.

With volume the time needed will always reduce quality some. Its always give and take with everything. More or less. :-)
