My son just bought the standard version, for a carry along on the farm. 3 separate lions on the same game cam, at the edge of the field he's irrigating now.
Yes. 30-30 Marlin. Really nice, not a distance gun, but it'll knock something down. The .45 is even more so in both aspects, but the action is smoother, IMO.Idk if its winchester, marlin, or henry but somebody makes a .45 cal version
Which one ur son get? 30-30?
Yes.

I think i remember a .450. Mighta saw it watching a hunting show about elephant hunting....been awhileGot a 94 in 45 Colt. Nice shooting little piece. No real recoil. Not a distance rifle. If I'm not mistaken, they make that Marlin in some heavy hitting calibers, like 350 Remington, 45-70 Govt., and .444 Marlin. Pumpkin rollers for sure. Slap a cat flat.
A favorite quote. A lot of models are ambidextrous, too. Something cool about catching brass on a flat brim hat.Ya know what the south sed about the henry repeater?
"That yankee rifle can be loaded on Sunday and shot all week"
Got one in .44 cal. black powder cap and ball, Remington style. Don't put yer paw in front of the trigger guard if'n yer smart. My grampa useta have a carbine rifle chambered to .44 if i remember right.
It was a revolver. Cool as hell.

Never mind, my internet is like molasses in January.A lever action cap and ball?
But, yes, a cool way to burn powder. Shot one in the early 90's, a .45 cartridge, light & accurate, but the back blast was tremendous. My grampa useta have a carbine rifle chambered to .44 if i remember right.
