Alright ill keep ph downing it then twice a dayI can only guess on the pH, I'm not sure I understand this chemistry well enough...
I think it is normal for pH to rise slowly in fertilized water. I'm fairly certain the process of leaching nutrients out of the water has an acidic effect, lowering the pH as the plant feeds. Your plant is too small to feed, so you're just observing a science experiment in a bucket. This is probably a contributing factor to the common process of using plain water until roots develop a bit.
+1 Could be light burn, maybe raise and turn down the lightLooks good! Watch those new leaves for discoloration, let's hope they develop nice and green.
PS - if the new leaves do show any discoloration, I propose moving the light away by 12 inches (ish).
I just got my hlg 300l v2 respec which is 280 out the wall. I hung it 30 in above my plant. I only got a lix meter so I dimmed it down until about 9000 -10000 lux which the mars hydro was at after raising itCould be light burn, maybe raise and turn down the light

Would you consider this still seedling phase or did it move to veg now? Its 17 days oldView attachment 1034912
Here’s a good chart I took from another site. Useful for lumen meters to dial in your light. Remember you can lower your light instead of just cranking the driver up.
In the seedling stage I like about 8000-10000 lumens.
Temps in res are usually 70-73 i am using hydroguard. Im in bubble buckets. Its more of a like earthy smell. It might just be from the buckets and the plant smell in general not too familiar with all the plant smells yet lol. Im doing a res change tomorrow and I will add nutes. Don't want to repeat the same mistake as earlier last weekMove to veg. Ppms- 250-400.. Keep light at a good distance as you up the lux and intensity of the light. Fish smell?
I use Enzyme Komplete. This stuff is amazing. Smells good too.
But you need to keeo the water in your buckets 69 or lower or you will have issues the brighter and warmer your light gets.
You using bubble bucket or rdwc?
Do you think i should continue just ro water calmag and hydroguard or should I start my gh nutes?Seedling. Until they have a couple sets of fully developed leaves. By fully developed I mean all of its fingers. You’ve got 3 right now so I’d let them get 2-3 more nodes (sets of leaves) before switching to veg light intensity.
Yah i made mistake and had nutes in first res. They burnt my stuff so I was in plan water with the calmag hydroguard for a week so tomorrow ill do 1/4 seedling strength nutes from the gh chart and adjust from my readings! Thanks a tonIf you want to hit em with a light nutrient solution that should be ok. I’m not a hydro grower though. In soil I’d let em drink water for a week or so before hitting them with nutrients.
If you added the appropriate ratio of Hydroguard, you should be OK. If that part of the root system is not underwater, you might use a medication syringe or something of the like to drizzle some rez water over the roots that are not submerged - this will expose them to the Hydroguard - do that every day or two for several days.Does anyone know if the brown spots on the roots are alright?
Awesome they are above the water. I figured it would get absorbed into the root so it would prevent it anywhere but ill start doing that for sure! I think what you’re doing is fine. Once they get their bearings they’ll take off. Some start slower than others.
Okay so do you think they will be able to handle 1/4 nutes. If i remember correctly the ppms were 150 when i did it last timeNot a "Hydro grower" but throwing out that hydro advice. What sustains a sprout(seedling) is not the same as what sustains a half month old plant....
Bad advice......
I guess don't feed it. See where that lands ya....lol
As long as everything else is line. Yeah. If you're still nervous about it. Only feed an 8th of recommend nutes... But your plant will need more than just calmag and water at 17days.Okay so do you think they will be able to handle 1/4 nutes. If i remember correctly the ppms were 150 when i did it last time
