Day 11 from sprout whats going on...

I would say roots look good.

Ppm 300ish

Air temp 75-80f lights on and 10fish cool lights out.

Good air movement to keep microclimates from causing issues. Oscillating fans work well for this.

Water temp under 75f with either beneficial bacteria or sterile.

Humidity 60ish% and lower at night if possible.

Light intensity kept about 20k lux for a week.

When changing water make sure the temp is acceptable and try to shoot for 2f difference or less to avoid shock.

Then give her a few days to a week to see results.

My ppms are at a standstill at 225 I might of shocked them if youre saying 2 degrees will do it. Water was about 75 and I put in 70 degree water when I put waterline up. I'm sitting at 76 in the tent and 61 humidity. I'm running 24/0 since the start figured temp would stay consistent that way. Got two stand still fans. One for the driver on light to dissipate heat and the other to get movement on the plants. Could the clawing be from sign of stress or maybe from the shock?

Change to 18/6. 24/0 is only decent for low light intensity. When lights on they are photosynthesizing and transpiring. Which means they are taking up nutrients non stop so maybe some clawing from nitrogen. But can also cause stress if the DLI or getting close to light saturation they will droop as they start photorespiration because they cannot keep up with the photosynthesis. During the calvin cycle they dont transpire but rather respire and use and move these sugars produced during photosynthesis.

With low light the plants can do adequate amounts of all processes to keep on 24/0. But i think if you do the rest and switch to 18/6 at about 20k lux you will see positive changes over the next week

So since they were always eating do you think the 24-0 cause the nute burn earlier even though the ppms were around 300. 125 from calmag so really not alot of nutes. I switched to 18-6 but I have noticed since last checking ppms they are eating again

Here's the update.. sqitched to 18-6 switched out res for the smaller one yesterday. Ppms have been the same 209. The big ones has been pretty steady too at 312ppm. Ph has been a steady 5.9-6.0 in both res when i check each day. Clawing is still happening on new growth. Read many places the genetics is very sensitive to nitrogen but I'm at 1/4 strength of the gh tri with some other gh line. I also defoiled some leafs for better light pentration on lower nodes

Work up to some faint brown spots on my newer plants old leaves. Ph has been at a steady 5.8 ppms have been going down pretty slowly and the water levels. Maybe more cal mag for the magnesium? Res change is this coming Wednesday

Live im running. Looks like algae same as the other plant started if you look back in thread. Using hydroguard. Temp is 72. Here's another pic

I just put roots in res and moved them between my fingers. It all came out. Saw no bugs. Any clue? Nute stain buildup?

Enzyme komplete. Small spray bottle. Work that problem right out!

Ok so for the next 3 days use temp adjusted tap water and rinse the roots. Use your fingers to gently massage any slime and the dark spots off.

Then do a res change and add 4ml per gal of hydrogaurd. Pour a cup of that over the top of the hydroton so you inoculate the entire rootzone.

Yes i agree komplete or hygrozyme or even pondzyme is super cheap.

Its a bacteria buildup... as posted for the next 3 days clean them in another bucket. After the first cleaning change the res and double the hydrogaurd... only once. Rinse them for 3 days.

Like was said komplete is also a really good one although I can't say from personal experience

If your in the US you can sub hydrogaurd for Southern AG fungicide at 1ml per 20gal. Way cheaper, I had someone send me some up because its not available in Canada

I'm not going to change the res of the big on yet and just daily rinse since I just did it .... i rinsed all the roots out. Going to swap the small ones res since its close to res day. Here's the roots. Should i add some more hydroguard to the big one?

I would mix 1/2 gal and add 12ml to it then pour from the top over the hydroton
