Hey everyone,

My rh is pretty high this month, and am getting worried about potential issues. Mk is almost in week 6 of flower, with low-mid 60% rh. The nodes are stacked tightly.

I could add another fan and get a bucket of desiccant.

Or a low cost dehumidifier. The low cost humidifier I had sucked. So I'm worried it's almost not worth the money for a cheap one?

I'm just in a one car garage. Only need it a few times a year if that.

Any suggestions so we don't get bud mold?

Hard to justify when you only need it for 8 weeks a year. When it's 150-225 dollars.

Are you hitting 60% even exhausting air out the room? That seems pretty high for winter! I mean ive ran into 60% humidity before in the beginning of the summer months and never ran into issues, but i also ran such powerful fans in my room it was like a hurricane when you walked into the room!

I would imagine dehumidifier is the only route to go with that much humidity!

Best of Luck! Hope every goes good 👍

It rains here all the time. Nope it's 80% rh outdoors. They are in a tent with a fan. But still high rh.

Oh ok... My mistake... That sounds more likely scenario! Lol

Yea i would say throw a dehumidifier in there, they can be a little pricey... But its worth more then bud rot! Lol

It almost reads like bud rot doesn't happen if the rh is under 65, and plants don't get wet for long. And no major swings.

Then don't buy 1 and run the risk of loosing your crop. Not my loss. Go ahead and save a bill or2.

The Quest 155 I run in a 11' x 24' cost me almost 2K. Worth every penny...
Best of luck.View attachment 936895
How’s that unit working out for you?
Got any pros/cons?
I’m in the process of dropping some coin on a dehumidifier. I’m running 2 residential style right now just to keep up.

I have no complaints set-it-and-forget-it replace the filter every 10 weeks. I've had that five years now running 24/7 365 never a problem. I think it's the 150 is a little more efficient but did not put out as many pints per day. There's new manufacturers out there now that other people swear by because they are cheaper. But I have no experience with them. six string swears by a different brand.

I’m in the garage also, a small energy star model from Amazon works fine for me. It’s a 50 pint a day model.

Except if your crop goes south, and you lose everything to PM...then that
$250 was a cheap, and durable tool for many seasons to come...
Pm is easily defeated, with due diligence:)
