Hello everybody, I have been trying to raise the C02 in my 3x3x8 tent for over 2 years, and wasting money in the process. Can anyone tell me, is there a way raise the C02 without bottles or burners?

Why do you need co2?
Plants can get their carbon through the roots. Replace the calnit part of your garbage 2 part weed nutes with organic calcium citrate acetate butyrate etc. Add humic acid, C187H186O89N9S1. That's 187 units of carbon. Plants get O2 from splitting h2O not CO2. There's no need for co2. This is nonsense that comes from chemical companies who insist that plants can't use carbon chelates like fulvic acid. It's a damned lie and you should be throwing rocks at people who promote the hydrofication of the natural world.

Kenny,

You will be hard pressed to realize any benefit from raising CO2 concentration in your tent.

Instead buy a 75W UVB reptile lamp. UVB exposure increases THC and other -oids over 20%. When I was a graduate student at Univ of MD I participated in a study looking at just that, cannabis in controlled well designed experiments conducted at the USDA Beltsville MD site.

If you want a copy of John’s original research article let me know.

Kenny,

This is all you need. One aspect from John’s study is that he (we) harvested only leaves. No buds. Those leaves were as potent as any bud I’ve burned.

No Is the simple answer.

To use co2 you need a sealed room, in a tent as you found out your just wasting money.

Hold on Mr. Gmix. I’m sending a summary of his article.

It doesn’t matter that much it does what I thought it might. Thanks

It does make huge difference in potency.

I’ll email you.

Living organic soil. The mycelium in my soil exhales co2

Thanks for the feedback!
I'm going to take your advice Zill and try the UVB lamp.

I started running an extra inlet from inside my bedroom where i sleep with 2 large pit bulls. Then eventually I stopped the other inlet that came from outside. (I should note my bedroom has a sliding door that goes outside and I open it during the day which is when my tent is on). with the old inlet that came from outside my c02 levels were between 400-500ppm . With the bedroom inlet it maintains 1200-1400ppm all day and 1500-1800 ppm at night. My dogs are inside most of the time which probly helps.
I've never heard of anyone else doing this so maybe there is a downside I'm not seeing but I've been rolling with it for a couple years now and I'm stoked with the results

Are there not also studies showing benefits of increased c02. Up to 30% better yields? This is what I've read but I'm not sure where or if reliable and I'm no expert just an enthusiast

Wow this will blow my mind if true. I love finding out I've been wrong about something I thought I knew and understood. I'm skeptical after reading about leaves as potent as any bud, I must say my first reaction to that is how ridiculous. However im not welded to any of my beliefs and i will change them in a second if I get better information from a reliable source. You sound like you might just know a lot more than me on this topic so I'm excited to go read your study and see if i been looking at this wrong for years.

I think maybe it was Mark twain who said
"it's not what we don't knew that gets us into trouble but what we knew for sure that just ain't so?"
