I have an AC Infinity 2x4 tent with their Controller 69 Pro, an inline fan, an oscillating fan and two control plugs. The maximum is four devices until they start selling the expansion dongles again. The tent is excellent, and the equipment is well made, but the controller only works with their products. They do sell a control plug that works with equipment not made by AC Infinity, but that only offers on/off control, and the equipment must be able to power up in the same state it was in when it powered down. There are also some bugs in the controller firmware that will hopefully be fixed in a future update. One is that some settings are lost when the power is out, so I'm using a UPS so the controller will keep its settings. My tent overheated after a two-hour power outage because the controller stopped controlling the fans. Apparently, all the settings except Bluetooth were gone. Another problem is that the oscillating fan causes the controller to malfunction. I had to unplug my fan and let it run uncontrolled. One issue was that the fan didn't start until I looked at the controller app on my phone. I hadn't changed anything. I just looked at the app. It's weird, but I was able to replicate the problem as I watched the fan start when I activated the phone app.

@BigBlonde

My 67 doesn’t seem to have that issue? I don’t need wifi, Bluetooth even works on the second floor while the tent is in the basement.

My point is you can get the 67’s around half price right now, if that helps. I can test something(s) for you if need be.

I’ll be looking at dongles or the 69 soon enough, once the bugs are worked out.

damn, that seems to be kind of a pain for you. so your power outage messed up the controller?

so the 69 is the newest one? and yours only has bluetooth and no wifi?

yeah the 67 is only 50 bucks and 100 for the 69 pro

As far as I know, the problems are only with the 69 Pro. I'm sure they'll fix the issues. It's a complicated device, so I wouldn't advise anyone not to buy one. I'm just reporting my experience so far.

The good thing about Bluetooth working when the WiFi did not is that I was able to connect and restore the settings. The bad thing is that the tent temperature rose above 90F. (I have other sensors in the tent.)

Thanks. No need. I have things working well enough to finish my current grow. I'm in week eight of flower. I plan to take some time to reconfigure before I use the tent for the next grow.

I contacted AC Infinity about the dongles and was told they were removed from sales because of problems and that they're working on a fix. I'm sure we'll see them sold again.

might be a dumb question but what are the dongles

It was a pain until a nice member here helped me sort out the problems. Once I knew the oscillating fan was causing some of the problems, it was easy enough to unplug it from the controller. It can operate without the controller. I also have other fans in the tent. I have spare fans ready in case of a failure. I also had a spare UPS. It's probably better to run a device like the controller with protected power anyway.

I wouldn't advise against buying the fan. It's just good to know about the problem. I'm sure the problems will be fixed. In the meantime, the fan still does the job.

This is disappointing. The fan causes the controller to fail? I haven't had any issues with the 67 but that helps me when it comes time to upgrade. Now I can ask the salesperson at ACI if they've fixed that problem.

It doesn't exactly fail. It just gets quirky. It's hard to describe, but frustrating. Other equipment reportedly works fine. The controller has been working fine since I unplugged the oscillating fan. The inline fine, for example, is working as expected. The sensor is working well, too. I haven't tried the control plugs yet. I don't want to make any major changes during the last few weeks of flower.

yeah i still have the 2 hurricane clip fans only thing bad about them is no oscillation but yeah it is good to know the issue beforehand
