I'm gonna grow my mother's in coco most likely. The only thing I have used is coco and hydroton.

Thinking maybe a drip off a 4 way splitter would be cool....

Well I put the 2 older seedlings in solo cups of coco. I didn't water or precharge the coco.
Guess about 1ml of calmag and 1ml of flora nova grow to a gal... sound like a first good feeding in the coco? There about 2 weeks old today...
Should I feed them now or let them sit a day in their new home???

yeah I dont know.....there are many differ ways to start
I actually start them at full strength nute
about 1.5ec
I have been using the sip method
sit the solos in a tray
and pour the nutes about 1/4" up from the bottom of the cup and let it soak i to the plant

when ever the plant begins to droop a little
I just refeed from the bottom
about 1/2gallon per tray of nutes
usually at that stage it lasts about 1 week

Do you water the coco after transplant and then utilize the sip method, or do you transplant dry and stick dry solo cups straight into sip method? And 1.5 ec??? Is the higher ec because of the sip method and the pretense that the plant will only sip up what it needs into the median?

Yeah I start that high
coco is dry and I just stick the baby in the coco and set it into the tray of nutes

all my moms are chillin like that and have been for about a year now

I havnt had any deficiencies of any kind or salt builup so I do think they kinda just use what they want

you could certainly use hydroton but coco gives you a buffer so when it goes dry in the tray you still have a few days of cushion
I will snap a pic of my moms

I use the standard cut tray like seedling tray
something like 11x21"
and those are 6" square pots so I think they are half gallon

the moms I feed every 2-3 days

So the humidifier is pretty cool. I think it will take me some time to get it dialed in. I put it on 60% It look like the humidity stays towards the bottom... Where do most people keep them at in the tent. Floor? Top?
It works great too! Shuts off when it gets to the rh. Digital display!
