Devil Anse Hatfield Inc......

How much do you put in the cup? half way up the cup it drinks it down in about 3 days enough that the roots are exposed to the air and I usually fill back up the end of the 4th day

but there is enough oxygen in h2o for plants to sustain for a limited amount of time until you replace with fresh water

Cree COBs
12 CXB3070
8 CXB3590

@Wisher619 this ole boy on another thread built a hell of a light. But anyway what is the difference between 3070 and 3590... cobs?
Is there a reason to use different ones in a setup? I tag you in the thread so you can see the light. It looks like something i would really like. Could prob build the frame first and just the middle row of cobs, and use with my 2 600s for now till i could afford another row of cobs and slowly just build out the light and phase out the 600s....

the reason for the 3070's is he cheaped out

3070 is old tech
3590 is the latest

it is a matter of light output
by a large margin

the light looks like every other cob light fixture out there

including mine
although I have older heatsinks

he os using passive sinks while I have active sinks cooled with a computer fan

in that frame
the lights on the active sink with fans he is probably running the 3070's as he probably built those long ago and the passive he added with a new frame

passive is what you want

while active is fine passive is just less watts to use with the fans

presumably you will want 12-16cobs per 4x4 area to run effecient enough to pull the weight you would like
running at about 1.6-1.7a

so you can purchase all the components seperate or there are places like Timber or cutter electronics that provide everything and all you have to do is build the frame out of angle alum from lowes or the depot

and you are done

brother.....lookin real good

hey how cold does that floor get

I would suggest gettin blocks to put under all your buckets.....just because you may not want the cold to transfer into the solution.....to cold and the roots will stop growing and plant dies

just food for thought...

Good call. I put 2 layers of 2 1/2" foam board down before I put my floor in. I'm in a basement too.

I thought about that and here was what i decided... Your gonna love this!
First i checked to see how hot it got with lights on. 65.7 degrees. Exactly as i thought! So i decided instead of pulling the buckets off the floor im adding a aquarium heater that is rated for 150 gallons. My set up is 20 gallons. I will set the digital temp at 68 degrees and it will maintain my water temp. I also bought BATMAN windshield reflectors for each of the buckets... BOOM!

Crazy! But i think i like the spreading better in the one above! But i take either one or both lol!

Rh and temps..... They impact each other. I want higher rh, about 55% to 60 % would be ideal for me. And temps around 73 to 74 is where i would like it.
I think when you have high rh and its 80's esp above 85, then you start to ask for problems. But air flow and air circulation all make up that equation. Here is how i know if its all right. I roll a big fat hog leg, pull up a lawn chair in the grow room, smoke that bitch and see how i feel... Hot? humid? brezzy? It is actually very very comfortable in there right now. After leaving for a few and cycling the rest of the house, it has even out at 75 degrees and 52.7 rh... I fucking love it!
