Ok guys so I let these girls dry out, I think they should definitely be watered tonight, 3 out of 4 seem to really have grown in the past 2 days that being said they definitely have some yellowing of their lower leaves I included pics, I’m guessing I over watered? Thoughts?

Ok y’all so I watered them to runoff (I’m assuming this means this water runs out the bottom, I had 90ppm of Cal-Mag then I did a runoff PH test and got this

Is this why my girls are yellowing?

What my next move? Should I repot or do a different test? Thoughts??

Not a pro take my words with a grain of salt but some of your plants leaves have reached the edge of the pot might be time to pot up, I have refrained from checking runoff I’m scared I’ll start chasing it and make it worse lol. You’re using fox farm soil is it happy frog or ocean forest? Sorry if you stated it already, I’d continue with plain water I was about 3 weeks from sprout before I added anything at all like I said before, and even then do it extremely light like 1/4 dose and work up. Take some pics of the new growth from the pics you have it’s kinda a side view but new growth looks healthy, lower yellowing might be a result of what damage those leaves already had. I just make sure the water I’m using is ph’d to 6.2-6.5 (personally)

As far as your organic question, just because you are in soil does not automatically mean organic (only use neuts labeled as organic to stay organic) I believe if you are using the fox farm trio (grow big / big bloom / tiger bloom) those are specifically their organic line and says so in the label I use those 3 plus the cal-mag and microbe brew gunna finish the rest of my run with just those and try to keep those microbes healthy in the soil.

Again I’m a noob as well on my first grow. So others may correct me lol.

I have the same set, but yes I calibrate mine at least once a week I bought my own calibration solution though as the set only comes with enough for a single calibration,

It does read calibration solution dead on

If he’s doing organics, ph will balance its self out

Don’t have to ph organics

Along with fox farm has a buffer in it as well.

I grow organic as well and yes, you do have to mind the PH. Thirty five years of growing this goodness, but hey what do I know?

Ph is very critical in nutrient uptake

Just afaik organics/mycos helped with that, and for example, phing FFOF was pointless because the buffer.

Well tonight I decided to re-pot just in case the soil was damaged from the distilled water…

figure they can stay in these pots for quite awhile, I have at least 4 weeks till they’ll be outside permanently. Hope they like their new home…..not sure I like the pots they were in. I guess the thought was just to plant the whole pot and the roots grow through so some of the broke a little as I removed the pot, should I turn the lightdown for a couple days while they settle in?

Update day!

Girls seem much happier in their new pots!
Added a second light courtesy of a friend who moved his plants outside.
Raised the lights to 22” above foliage
Bought a ph kit so hopefully I can start feeding these girls better water….

Question: once leaves turn yellow is that it? Are they done for?

These lower leaves that yellowed don’t seem to be coming back even though the plants are growing and new leaves are starting in the crouch of the yellowing leaves

The leaf will not recover, but some let the plant feed off them .
At this point IMO you can pull the single blade leaves that have yellowed .

Update time!

Girls got a heavy watering 5/27 before we headed to camp for Memorial Day weekend.
Came home to some nice growth, funny how when you see them a couple times a day nothing happens but take 2-1/2 days a way and they seem to really do something hahaha a watch pot never boils??
Anyways, still having some yellowing on Grand daddy purple trying to figure this out??
Took them out for a few hours of late afternoon sun to stretch a little

Looking good .
Since the yellow and burn are on lower leaves it could just be the plant eating itself and touching the dirt ? A little lite on N [ def.]
That is common and those leaves are not real important now . You can cut them off.
If the burn and yellow is on higher new growth then it is a combo of light and nute burn N [ excess].
From pics your top growth looks nice and healthy so just stick with your plan .

Tell me about it lol. When I water then work for a few days without actually going in the tent just checking and adjusting the exhaust depending on the expected temps true for the day then actually go in and look at them I am usually shocked lol, it’s an awesome experience, they grow so damn quick haha this is like 8 days apart and a minor defoliation in the middle and they still overtook the tent lol

Hey y’all update/question time

Everyone seems to be growing hahaha but today I noticed a rash on my Grandaddy purple and light green in the middle of one of my train wrecks.

All they’ve been getting is rain water which I ph check and cal-mag and I’ve started taking them out for Sun for a few hours in the afternoon when I get home from work.

Thoughts?????

Back from camping and time for an update:

Girls still seem to be growing well though all a suffering from something I haven’t fed them at all and figured it had to be some sort of deficiency so I gave them all a half feeding of Grow Big from Fox Farm and cal-mag
Below I’ve attached photos in order of plant and leaf symptoms though it seems they all share the same symptoms now…..

Well today this girl is a little worse for the wear They’ve all got treated and fed the same exact way…her leaf’s just show this weird pattern, I was thinking spider mites so I scoured them today and can’t find a thing, possibly showing a nutrient issue in the middle with the burn???

Update time I think,

Girls are looking ok, I think I fried them Sunday with just tooooooo much sun. They seem happy today I’ll probably water them tomorrow….

Just a Quick update:

Tallest girl is about 20”
This is their last week in these pots then they’re headed for greener pastures (25 gallon fabric pots)
Been reducing the light every two day by a half hour.
Tuesday they’re moving outside permanently to harden off and should be within 1/2 an hour of the current daylight hours.
Last feeding was 6/10/22 full dose of cal-mag and still a half feeding of FF Grow Big.
