yeah its fine I got another question that's been rattling around in my head since you mentioned +/- ions. I always thought ec/ppm was nutrient concentration, but is it just the conductivity of the solution to facilitate the proper transfer of ions?

no man actually I think that the 600 would give enough saturation to the canopy that the extra light would really just be heat
because the plants wouldn't be able to consume the amount of photons
for a fixture to cover a 4x4 DIY I would say around 12-15 hundo......to cover a cob per sqft...which would be the most efficient.....at around 50 watts....and let me remind you these cobs run about 130lumens per watt which would be about 6500 lumens per sqft or 104,000 lumens per 4x4
but the main difference is the efficiency which means that say a 1K hps puts of 140K lumens but really they are only about at most...gavita.....40% efficient.....which means that 56,000 lumens are hitting the canopy where as the LED is putting down about 58,240 at 56% efficiency spread perfectly to each sqft
the sole reason why HPS talking gpw usually only pull anywhere between .5-1 gpw strain dependent
and the LED is putting down 1.5-2 gpw on average...with specific LED's like Cree and Vero COB fixtures

and the Ion deal yes....the salts hold a positive or negative charge and the ec ....electrical conductivity is just that....how much of a charge of ions your water now holds

Damn 1500... I knew the good shit was crazy expensive. I almost went with one of those cheap ass mars but knew better. I'll probably make the witch some time. But as of know my weed barely costs shit so efficiency is about 3rd or 4th on the priority list. But when the cost chokes down more on the led I'll make the switch. What do you think about the new hid systems. Like gravita or those double ended fixtures and bulbs? I heard some bulbs last year's?

Man you connected some dots in my head with that one bro

I like the new HID stuff...for me...in a huge commercial facility it should work awesome...but for use home growers...IMO not so much...600's I think are the best bang for the buck for HID

Dude I really appreciate you answering all these questions. I know it can get tedious some times.

The tops are really starting to bulk up, and the water uptake has dropped, do you think I should increase koolbloom? It's recommended at 1-2tsp per gal. I've been running 1pg

Priciate it homie. Time for me to clock out and pass out. Night bro.

Added a 5 gal bucket for a reservoir to my brute trashcan. So I'm running 10gal total now. It's a 10gal trash can and 5gal bucket but to the bottom of the net it's 10gal. I set her back at 800 ppm. Now I won't have to do a change for a week solid. Maybe more. Just depends how she's drinking.

The 10 gal and the 5 gal. I cleaned her lowers quite a bit. But only a lil super cropping... Who says you can't train autos...
