I am officially disgusted with fly paper. In one night I got it stuck on four different things and it always leaves the gunk all over anything including tops/bottoms of fingers, lights, walls, cords, pvc, floor, oh and the last was my newest pump sprayer cord.

Hot shot no pest strips essentially the same thing?

NPS not at all the same thing, sticky traps would be more like the same thing. Looks beautiful in there! Be careful if you decide to use NPS strips, they won't work well if you're moving a lot of air through the tent.

Thanks for the info. Yes I would need a sticky trap more than likely instead. I have seen the yellow and blue ones at the hydro store. Thanks for tuning in as you gave me some good advice on the last grow :)

What do you guys think of the end size of these girls?

I think that Blue Dream is going to make itself difficult to work with during that 2 week post-flip stretch. I haven't grown BD at all, nor a Haze at all, but as I recollect they're a couple of real stretchers in that phase. So far have only grown two full kushes (Bubba & Orange), and a kush cross, two of them indoors and one outdoors only, not much stretch on the Bubba AT ALL, I kinda like that I can decide exactly how big she's gonna be pretty much right when I flip.

I've always enjoyed growing in the 5x5 posts. Do you let the roots grow into the res?

What nute regimen are you running in the aero/nft to accommodate the various strains?

Yes they always start going towards the res because of gravity and water flow. Some dangling in there now at 3 weeks and probably will be a mess at 8.

In the past I have just taken the scragler roots and throw them back in the back of the rail. The folding over of the roots sometimes allows it to stay in there better. THis way I am not worried about roots getting sucked in the back of the pump.

As far as nutes I switch it up all the time but nothing special. Basically I assume the balance I want at the time, and add appropriately. No schedule to follow or talk about. Dirt ladies have been fed all kind of different stuff at different times. Aero has been more consistent with types of nutes and at lower PPMs. 1100 aero, compared to 1600 feed and 2000+ppm soil.

I saw a guy who put a chiller in line before the res and then he let the roots grow into the chiller as much as they wanted. It seemed fairly smart if one has the space and money for a chiller. I'm sure you grow some serious dank in your setup. Looks sweet.

They cant just grow into the chiller like that. It would clog in the pump and cause it to stop working if they attempted to get in there in my opinion. The only problem eventually will be just that. Roots growing and growing and eventually getting sucked in the pump. Will be manually moving them up soon.

Just supercropped the aero ladies earlier and took some fan leaves off. Some really stretched and shaded some of the others which I should have supercropped earlier. 2 of them are not doing as well as the rest in aero because of the shading.

Nice experimentation with the aero next to soil.

One question though, do you have a couple plants all planted together in a tub full of soil?

Yes they are all planted together in the soil. The aero rails are sort of the same as the 4 plants per row will entangle themselves root wise. Just fed the dirt ladies 1130ppm/5.8ph and supercropped a few of the highest colas. Two I screwed up on and I taped them with some porous medical tape. I wish I could flip to the entire 600 watts on the dirt side but last time I did that I flipped the 15 amp breaker. One of the dirt ladies is toast. Thankfully there is another one of her growing. Its a Tahoe OG clone that didnt do so well. I wish tissue culture for cannabis was doable with all these strains I have growing now... and probably only 5-7 backup clones.

This isn't always the best as I have one in aero whos been shaded too long and looks like crap. Either that or some shit head fungus nats laid some babies in the R8 Slot. I do not aerate the aero side and seen some odd bubbles so hmm, maybe time to dose a bayer kill. It could be me though since I am trying a few different additives that are new and I have not really payed too much attention to the res. Could have been like this the whole time for all I know.

Besides the 1 in each side that are pooping out and toast.. So far so good! I must say really I am more impressed with dirt everyday as they grow. They are not stretching and growing like the aero side but they started blooming earlier and really look stellar for having 200 less watts!
