No one is saving anything running 240v over 120V except BREAKER SPACE/equipment and material cost potentially.

Always run Series Parallel, never jump off on side of a receptacle to the other.

Equates to using pigtails and wire nuts for everything. No shortcuts under 8'. Above 8 also
