How the heck do you know what I'm thinking or doing or whose advice I'm considering? You don't know me or my life situation. I can make my own decisions and I'm the one who has to live with my mistakes. I'm not going to be rude if I can avoid it. If you don't want to help, then don't.Dude I really have no skin in the game. I really do not care what Big Blonde does it is just a waste of everyones time if she just keeps taking half the advise from this person and half the advise form that person. She just needs to listen to one person. That is all I am saying.
Good bye.First I will leave you alone moving forward because you will be a problem for anyone to help and well. More than I have tried to suggest to you to just follow the advise of one person. So what will happen in this grow is something like this. You will take the advise of all and get a general consensus of that is wrong. You will get the materials it takes to fix the problem in about 1 week as you stated after about 4 days of getting the consensus. But it literally took you what 2 weeks of plants going bad for you to post. Know we are at 3.5 weeks to start to fix the problem. Here is what is in store for your plants in the next 5 to 7 weeks. Finishing depends on PPFD, nutrients and strain in general. So we have lets split the difference 6 weeks of flower left. And of those 6 weeks we have weeks 4 thru 6.5. This is the time when the plant requires the most nutrients. See the thing is your plants are already literally eating themselves to support the flowers, so while you are contemplating your next move the plants are killing themselves. I wish I could stick around to the finish but I have better things to do with my time.
As luck would have it, we do have some lime here. It's granular and meant for outside gardening. The bag says it's okay for use with vegetables. So, maybe I could mix that with some soil, top dress and then water it in slowly the next time they're fed.the issue is the plants roots probably are so big by now that you cannot actually work the top layer to make any adjustments to it. i would have recommended adding lime to raise you ph. it might work as a top dress but ideally you work it onto the top layer or even lower
stuff like gypsum and rockdust and all the goodies need to go in at the start, or with up potting from a seedling mix
I believe you and I don't understand why you think I don't. Why am I the bad person here? @Moe.Red has been very helpful and I followed his advice. Others have been helpful, too. I can't please everyone, but I don't think there's only one problem. Maybe you should just lock the thread. I'm okay with that if you think it's the right thing to do.i’m about to read this whole thread.. unless your finding leaves everday on the floor and also leaves are falling off easily than it’s nitrogen deficiency if this is not happening than it’s light stress.,
the last time i’m telling you this..
do your own research if you don’t believe me.,
Yes. That is correct.ok , so other than the ff soil, the ff nutrients and calmg and water, you haven’t put anything else into the soil? right?
and you’ve been feeding recommended doses? correct?
He was helpful, but harsh, as you say.@Anthem is just trying to help and yes it sounds a bit harsh,
he’s a long time member and very helpful.. it’s ok he’ll play nice..
i sometimes come off harsh as well..
Absolutely!the goal here is at least get you to a harvest for some medicine to use.
Oops! I also added rice hulls.ok , so other than the ff soil, the ff nutrients and calmg and water, you haven’t put anything else into the soil? right?
and you’ve been feeding recommended doses? correct?
ok so with where you are at now meaning 4-5 weeks flowering with plants or 2 of them with bad light stress to the leaves has put a slow down on everything, without needing to explain everything as you want to still get it to the finish is raise the lights so those leaves stop praying and lay flat or you’ll ruin your buds..I believe you and I don't understand why you think I don't. What might be frustrating people is that there are multiple problems, I think.
- The plants looked healthy just before the flip.
- One of the first things we did was lower the light intensity.
- We also adjusted the VPD. It was too high.
- I agree about nitrogen deficiency. I have been feeding according to the FF schedule.
- I also added Cal-Mag after the flip.
- The low soil pH that we tested yesterday surprised me, but could explain a lot.
Yes. That is correct.
He was helpful, but harsh, as you say.
Absolutely!
throw that book in the garbage..My guy, I don't understand why you feel the need to be aggressive right now and I think it's inappropriate. All you had to do is state your reasoning for a difference in opinion. I never said I was 100% correct and I provided support for my reasoning. To be clear, I also indicated a N deficiency and if you read in the information I provided for potassium excess you would see that it says the solution is to "Leach the growing medium of the affected plants with a very mild and complete fertilizer solution". In my experience when there is a primary nitrogen issue you don't make it to leaf tip necrosis before the leaves turn yellow and start to fall off.
Raise the lights, you say? I can certainly do that. They're currently set to 220 watts in a 2x4 tent.ok so with where you are at now meaning 4-5 weeks flowering with plants or 2 of them with bad light stress to the leaves has put a slow down on everything, without needing to explain everything as you want to still get it to the finish is raise the lights so those leaves stop praying and lay flat or you’ll ruin your buds..
Here's a picture of what I have. I also have some lime available.only feed a balanced diet to the finish (because your plants are sick) meaning numbers like 3-3-3. 4-4-4. or as close as you can with what you got.. need help post pictures of what you got and i can help with that..
There certainly is a lot of learning involved. The forum members also have a very wide range of knowledge and experience. It's easy to understand how an expert could become frustrated with a novice. It's just a fact of life, however, that we all have to start at the beginning. I never imagined that this thread would become so contentious. I just want a harvest. You might recall that my first crop failed, so I'm apprehensive about this one. Justifiably so, I might add. I'll try to do better next time. I have Parkinson's Disease, so I struggle sometimes.something we all learn is never ever follow any manufacture’s recommendations with light’s, nutrients anything..
yes i see you have a condition, hopefully others will notice and act accordingly.. i just see lots of light stress burn.. i really don’t know my LED’s lights as in meaning if it’s better to turn down or raise it up, i’d think to keep it at full power and put as high as it’ll go and see how plants react but your too late for that now, so do what you can or someone’s advice on how to adjust..Raise the lights, you say? damn bro no dairy gueen near byi’m leaving for a bit going to the wendy’s drive thru, i’m starving..
They do have the best fries out of the big 3.i’m leaving for a bit going to the wendy’s drive thru, i’m starving..
Thank you!i’ll be back with a feeding plan..
Okay.just leave it be
Understood.ok feed it this next watering
millimetres per gallon.
grow big 4 ml
tiger bloom 4 ml
calmg 2 ml
kelp 5 ml
.., you realize any damage leaves never repair themselves they will only get worse and at this point in flowering plants are not growing anymore to replace.. so be gentle till the finish..
Enjoy!i’m leaving for a bit going to the wendy’s drive thru, i’m starving..
I have too much light for the tent. I wrote about that. So I believe I need to run the lights no higher than half power, which is slightly more than what they're st to now. (I have wattage meters on the lights.) The two together add up to a maximum of 480 watts, which would be 60 watts per square foot. I plan to remove one of the lights after this grow is done. It was a mistake I made when I downsized from a 4x4 tent to a 2x4 tent.i really don’t know my LED’s lights as in meaning if it’s better to turn down or raise it up, i’d think to keep it at full power and put as high as it’ll go and see how plants react but your too late for that now, so do what you can or someone’s advice on how to adjust..
i dont think thats it i have 600 watts in my 4x4 and had no problemsI have too much light for the tent. I wrote about that.
