zipped the whole thing is in my bedroom it's 12x8 and i have a window a/c unit in the windowSheeeit. Do you have a weird airflow situation? Like cold air from a crawl space as an intake? I would try to aim a fan at the part that freezes to hopefully keep water from building up. Are you running the tent open or zipped up?
40 is to cold most say 80f for best efficiency and that's usually what temp they are tested at. This is so they look like they perform better because you have to remember the water content and relative humidity are not the same.67 is too cold for it to work. Most say 70+. You could put it on a timer on 15 off 15min on. Or raise the room temp.
the fan on the dehumidy is working always running but i have not felt warm or hot air coming from it but 1 time the thing is brand new only 2 or 3 months old so everything is clean and i keep the filters cleaned outOk like @Anthem said a dehuey is the same as an AC in how they function.
You should have a sensor on the rad that detects frost and shuts it off.
Temp of the room does not matter except in terms of efficiency in the spaces we typically use them and yours are absolutely fine.
in a dehuey they pull air over the cold side rad. That cause condensate and that condensate will dip down into a collection container. A few things can effect this and cause the water to freeze up. These are the 2 I suspect are your issues.
1. Make sure that the fan is working and turn the fan to the highest setting.
2. Clean the filters and rads.... this is absolutely crucial.
in my bedroom there is ac and 12 inch table fan for air air coming from the tent is vented outside air going into the tent is coming from bedroomOk how much air in the bedroom is circulated. And how does the air in the tent work? Separate intake? Or sealed bedroom with a sealed tent? Or does the tent draw air from the sealed bedroom with a duct?
why do i need more airflow in the tent ? the humidifier is on the outside of the tentOk there is a couple things you can do. But increasing the airflow from the bedroom through the tent is a good starting point. Add another duct fan. And let even more air through the tent. And move the unit away from the ac. If you need to aim a fan right at it. More airflow usually solves a lot of problems.
the unit also is far away from the ac on opposite sides of the roomOk there is a couple things you can do. But increasing the airflow from the bedroom through the tent is a good starting point. Add another duct fan. And let even more air through the tent. And move the unit away from the ac. If you need to aim a fan right at it. More airflow usually solves a lot of problems.
