Shit Im getting pretty hammered. I had some leftover beer from celebrating a birthday and Im crushing it, I hope I dont drink it all, I have a bad habit of not knowing when to stop drinking when Im by myself. The updates might be delayed to tomorrow or the next day depending on how fucked up I end up being 🤣

I was good enough to not drink until I puked but Im dead 💀
Still made the update of the small indoors and the lactobacillus though.

Will keep you updated about the lactobacillus process, this is just the start, once the water with the starch ferments I will continue.

I just had a great idea. You know those pots that are sold to be put in the wall? Usually for balconies. If I use those I can put them on the upper bars above the lights, they will still have plenty of light for a veggie and wont take any from the plants nor space. I just need to see if lettuce can grow well up there but I think it can and so can other plants like spices.
It could also look awesome.
If this harvest is generous I might do it the next grow, and if I have some money, because lately I dont have any hahahaha.

If I manage to do it in the big indoors because I always have some leftover vertical space, its gonnna look amazing.
Also the other day I saw hot to grow veggies upside down in a video. I already forgot 🤣 but I have it saved

You never know! I had grows where I didnt have any high hopes and surprised me and viceversa.
Also thanks for the compliment! But my equipment is far from good, its all chinese cheap stuff hahaha fans were less than 20 dollars each, lights around 60 each. I could really benefit from some good equipment to be honest, I dont even use carbon filters because theyre expensive and since Im growing outside of public view its legal, in Spain, so the neighborhood is gonna have to learn to like it if they have not by now 🤣
EDIT: Now that I think about it the most expensive things in my grows are the tents, and one doesnt even have myllar or any reflectant, just paint similar to mylar color that is wearing off, still 70 euros. The small one I bought with better quality reflectant surface and it wasnt much more than the other.
i used a foil plastic sheeting that i formed into a tent for the first grow but since being at this location i have had a closet with white walls. i prefer the white but will use what is at hand. i still have the plastic foil stuff but don't use it. i am using cheap walmart and ebay lights (presently 4 of them) between $20 - $30 each at this point i've spent more on soil and amendments than on anything else. oh yeah, there was a fan lying around here that i put to use, $0 👍.

from what i've seen so far you are truly making magic with those inexpensive items 🤗😍. watch out cause some day i'm gonna reproduce the results from grow 1 and then i'm gonna stomp ya with some other worldly shit that will make your bud want to run and hide in shame 🤣🤣🤣😇🙃.

eh, i love seeing all the fine stuff you are producing and just want to see continued fine results. as one of our friends has said......................... Grow, Grow, Grow 🫠🥴🫠🥴

The hyperactive mind of a pothead:
3:26am - Fuck man, should I get rid of some leaves now or try to go to sleep? Nah you aint getting sleep yet, youre high as fuck though, shit. One more joint and Ill get it done... shit theyre getting smelly and frosty, I like it 🥲

the way i look at it is i'm not a pot head, im a ganja monk..... 😇

Thats true, calling my equipment good equipment is going too far but is not the worst either, Ive grown in a cardboard box before I had the second indoors in this house hahaha that was much worse but still decent buds. After searching a lot I could find one pic, I cant find a pic where I have them in flower but oh well, just so you get an idea. This light I used at the start then swaped to a more potent LED bulb when I had money so they wouldnt stretch much. I also had a hole with an exhaust fan on the top left but it cant be seen here.

I hope you can reproduce the results of grow 1 Im sure you can get better buds than me once you get going, youre curious and persistent and you like to research!

I know this one came from the cardboard indoors for sure, you can get an idea, not as productive but I was working with small autos and didnt have enough light for bigger buds in the cardboard indoors

Today 2 new updates will come. First time Im gonna feed them NPK, week 4 of flower, since the transplant they have not needed with my super soil but I think its time to start pushing like I said the other day. Also one had a dried leaf so Im assuming theyre starting to run out of all the nutes they need.
The rice water is already fermented I will go to the next step aswell for the LAB.

Im thinking about doing a top dress with new ammended soil mixed with a bit of diatomaceous earth, bat guano and palm tree ash for a PK with silica, but the dosis will be minimal since I plan on pushing with nutes. That just to save a few bucks if I can use less bottled and more ammendments.

Big indoors update. The frostyness Im seeing... I like, the bud size is clearly affected by the lack of defoliation but I think its going faster than usual thanks to that aswell. The side lights are helping the mid section buds to develop, and the low section buds will be all for kief.

PD: I know, its a jungle down there but the lower leaves dont look old like they usually do, I guess the plant is using them well, at least for the side lights and the residual light from above.
PD2: I always forget to give you a view from the net. Some good buds forming below the net.

That leaf is twisted cause its touching the door but I have not seen water accumulation so I didnt bother choping it. Staying true to 0 defoliation hahaha

Small indoors update: pretty much the same but week 2 and a half instead of 3 and a half. Kmintz small the rest covering the net.

Now for the lactobacillus. Reminder for those who didnt check my last updates: Washed some rice with warm water to get the starch out, saved the rice water to ferment for 4 days and now:

I made them the top dress but Im gonna wait to see how they react. I went full dose with the nutes cause I saw some pale leaves, dont think its too much but Id rather wait until tomorrow. Everything fine today. Got a little bit excited with the top dress and now its new soil, neem meal, diatomaceous earth, bat guano, kelp, alfalfa meal and palm tree ash, Different ratios, I focused mostly on the guano as the PK that I use (Big bud organic) has more P than K and I like me some extra K aswell in flower.

Just a few hours later, you can already see where the cheese is forming, the serum will become clearer in a day and a half or so and the cheese will solidify on the top. I used half lactose half lactose free because me and my mother are lactose intollerant. They do not only feed on lactose but if you wanna increase the cheese yield just use whole milk and if you dont tolerate lactose do half and half. They convert most lactose into lactase anyway and thats easy to digest, my cheese will have very little lactose.

The LAB and the cheese are ready! I have 2 videos prepared but need molasses for the third one, cant find it anywhere dont know what happened, it used to be on every super market... might have to go with agave syrup instead if I cant find it tomorrow.

Weekly update! The lactobacillus + cheese will have to be tomorrow if I can get my hands in some molasses or something that I can use instead of brown or white suggar. Brown unrefined suggar is fine but I cant find it either, only brown refined.

⚙️ Ingredients

ComponentPurposeQuantity
Uncooked white ricestarch source for LAB culture1 cup
Non-chlorinated watermicrobial medium2 cups
Unsulfured molasses (or honey)sugar feed1 tablespoon
Whey, kefir water, or a splash of yogurtLAB starter culture1 tablespoon
Epsom saltmagnesium kick⅛ teaspoon
A few drops of kelp extract (optional)trace minerals & hormones5–6 drops

Fermentation

  1. Rinse the rice with the 2 cups of water. Save that cloudy rinse — that’s your starch broth.
  2. Add the molasses, whey (or yogurt water), and Epsom salt. Stir like you’re plotting an insurrection.
  3. Cover loosely (cloth or paper) and store at 68–72°F in a dim corner for 2–3 days.
  4. When it smells faintly sour-sweet (like fresh bread, not gym socks), strain and refrigerate.
  5. It’ll keep for about a month chilled.

Deployment

  • Dilute: 1 tablespoon tonic per gallon of water.
  • Application: soil drench or root-zone feed.
  • Frequency: every 10–14 days during veg; once at early flower if desired.
  • No foliar use — the sugars can gum up stomata.

If you keep adding suggars you can keep it for longer too! At least thats what I do with mine. I saw a recipe that asked for equal parts brown unrefined suggar to LAB culture but I think thats a little bit excesive, I dont even use half of that but maybe he was planing to keep it for a year hahahaha. I use the fermented rice water and milk method because you get some cheese and I already supplement whats in that recipe (Epsom salts and Kelp).
Is there any benefit to this method compared to the rice water and milk? Maybe the serum is more clear?
