Hey guys!

Do any of you guys supplement Sulfur the last two weeks of flower to help terpene production?

This is has been a source of interest lately, and I want to know if anyone has any experience with it!

✌🏻

I’m just using epsom salt for the sulfur.

And so far I feel pretty confident that it’s helping the terps!

Definitely putting on the smell!

Now whether or not it’s due to the sulfur, who knows ha ha ha

I supplement sulfur in flower (epsom) through the second to last week. Final week before chop, I give only pHed water.

Yeah the second to last week I use winter frost, Ruby fulvic, and carbonaria from new millennium.

I’ve just now started adding epsom salt, BUT the guy adding a tablespoon per gallon is adding WAYYY too much to supplement sulfur, and that’ll crank your EC through the roof and maybe even cause a magnesium toxicity!

Just my opinion though!

I just one tablespoon per 5 gallons ha ha

I use epsom salts the last 2 weeks of flower (organic living soil). The increase on smell youre noticing is not terpene related but rather a sulfuric compound that weed has similar to one found in skunk spray that gives it that funky, skunky smell. Its not a terpene but it certainly increases flavor and stank!

I use Epsom Salts, throughout the whole grow. In weeks 5-6, in an 8 weeks flowering strain, is when I use the highest dose. Then weeks 7-8 I cut back all fert by 25%, each of the last 2 weeks.
At most I use about a TBLSP, per 5 gallons of water.
I try and use the least amounts of everything, while still keeping the plant healthy, and vigorous. I dont starve them, for sure, but I dont try and force feed either.

I also use Langbeinite, which is also high in Potassium Sulfate, and Magnesium. I use it throughout the whole grow.

I love the MB Tomato Recipe.

I used to use Hydro-Gardens 4-20-39, and they went out of business, after more than 50 years, because of supply chain issues.
They also used Epsom Salts with the 4-20-39.
Master Blend, is almost exactly the same NKP as HG.
I also add a bit of MPK, around the 3rd, and 4th weeks of flowering, in an 8 weeks flowering strain. Hydro Gardens, had been making, Plant Specific Fertilizer, since the 1980s, along with Greenhouses, and supplies, since 1965.
I decided to try Gaia Green 4-4-4 x 2-8-4-Langbeinite-Humic Acid, Azomite-Kelp this time around. Ive done organic using Peruvian Seabird Guano, both veg/flowering formulas. Kelp, Azomite, Biochar, and had good results. Ill probably also buy some Biochar.

I just recently bought a big bottle of Mr. Fulvic sulfur additive. I’m gonna implement it during the flower cycle on my next grow. I’m looking forward to seeing the results I hear sulfur will dramatically increase your skunk factor.

For DIY lactobacillus there's plenty of tutorials in youtube. Its really easy you only need rice, milk and water.

For water soluble calcium without resorting to comercial calmags which might result in nitrogen toxicity since theyre all high in nitrogen, I have a guide here. Its cal-mag-sulfur:

Fermented plant juice well... pretty straight forward hahaha you just need to google which plants are best fermented for weed. You can use your previous grow stems and leaves but you cant abuse it or you will saturate the soil with chlorophyl degradation byproducts (or at least Ive been told that, never tried to go an entire grow with just fermented plant juice).

@Natep I have a question if you dont mind, what should be the ratio of calcium to phopshorus for optimal intake? I use bat guano, I think I put enough, but maybe I could use a bit more.

Epsom salts has always been a terpene hack here... (I've recently slowed down on that idea) I saw it on a Mr Grow it podcast with Brandon that some phenos have either a positive reaction or a negative.. so your milers may vary? Also to much Magnesium can block Potassium... so another thing to think about.
