I did two extractions, one with ethanol and other with ether. The one with ether was much harder. But greener.
I do basic extractions, i dont freeze anything. Do you think its worth freezing both diluent and weed? What solvent do you prefer to use?

Freeze the trim..freeze the liquid and work quicker when filtering. .. itll help with the green problem.

Do you have experience with ether? I read online that you bath the weed for 24h, but it is really necessary? Or 1 minute is fine? And then a second wash of corse. What do you think?
Going to freeze everything. Next time i will use sunlight :)

Also, do you think I shoul decarboxilate the weed before? I just read solvents dilute better cannabinoids that are not in acid form...

Try a 15 second rinse

ok, i will do a 15 second rinse and then i will leave the weed more time in ethanol, since i dont have money for more ether right now. i hope its worth it. thanks :)

Always freeze the Solvent and the weed. You want those trichomes brittle so the heads break off.

Never used Ether. All i have ever used was pressing Rosin with hair straightener, Everclear, and 99% isopropyl.

I have had the best luck with 99$ isopropyl.

A LOT of You Tubers will do 6 10-15 second washes. I do 1 Wash lasting 85-90 seconds i usually get 17.2-24.5% yield with 99% isopropyl by weight

I winterize my liquid to get rid of the clorophyll fats lipids and solids.

as soon as i seperate the weed from the liquid i put the liquid back in the freezer for 6-12 hours during this time the clorophyll fats lipids and solids collect on the bottom and wall of the jar then filter through a coffee filter inside the freezer. Tge clorophyll fats lipids and solids gets hung up in the filter while the cannabinoids and alcohol passes through the filter easily.

hmmm thats very interesting! might try that next time

Ether is that thing that gets you high xD They called it Devil's ether in that movie about drugs in Las Vegas i think.

Two Bears, why wouldnt you use ether? I prefer the consistency of the product made with ether.

You really should try it. After getting rid of the clorophyll fats lipids and solids yoy get a much smoother smoke.

After winterizing the last 3-4 times i wouldnt do anything else
