Your typical wall or window unit brigs air over the coils from outside. A split system uses the existing air in the sealed room to cool over the coils on the wall or ceiling mounted unit. A package unit has 2 registers in the sealed room one is supply one is return. Supply is taking the air from the sealed room via duct work to the unit forcing it through the cooling coils which in turn sends the cool air to the supply duct. But you can install a device on the package unit that will draw cool air from outside
When it's cooler then what the thermostat is set at. All my rooms are completely air tight for the purpose of running c02.
I can appreciate your knowledge, one question. Will the air exhausted carry odors? In the past ive used window units and portables that weren't in and out and odors escaped. Whats your take based on the unit i have ? What do you think of exhausting the A/C through a carbon scrubber?

He's not correct... A typical wall unit does not bring air from the outside, cool it and then deposit it inside... A typical air conditioning wall unit will recirculate the inside air.

On your unit, the air comes from the inside of the room through those filters in front, then it's cooled and then exhausted through your hose.

Ken dog i would like you to know i really appreciate your time and expertise bro. Sooooo, it is possible for me to bring in fresh air to circulate within the system for the evaporator, condenser or whatever the function may be. Now.... having said that would it be more adviceable to just let the suction part recirculate the actual air in the grow room and exhaust out a window or actually even a chimney. There is a filter of some sort in the front grill where the intakefan is. Ok, guys thank you all for your patience, shit i feel like this fuckin question is going on forever. Ok look, im going to leave the intake UNducted pulling in air from the growroom then on the exhaust side im going to mount the filter scrubberbefore the flange

That directly is mounted to my windo. My only 2 conerns are... #1 will the high heat and humidity shorten the scrubbers life ? Im soooooooo, baked. I feel like I've taken an hour and a fulkin half for this.... oH !!!!! also, and this one is new !!! LMFAO. ... could i use my chimney for fresh air intake ? I will be filltering it ofcourse. Allrighty, this will be one of my last QnA's I'll post my last conclusion. Really, thanks to all for your time, patience and advice. These open dialogues are what make this sight and our beloved country the best. Happy 4th. PEACE
