Dave, one of the hoses needs to be taken off for dehumid mode to work. Can't remember which one. Look at manual. It probably won't work for you as it doesn't for me and here's why. When lights are on (assuming your room is sealed and you don't have another a/c) your a/c needs to be on to keep temp in range. Obviously you cant run a/c and dehumid at same time with this machine. Therefore a dehumidafier will be needed.

One thing I noticed when I went to CO2 is the big increase in humidity. It has gone up to over 70% on me without a dehumid. and it wasn't a humid day. You will need a dehumidifier if you want to keep your room at between 35 and 45% on a daily basis. I can get away without running one when we get extremely dry weather. On the average day though I use one to keep the room at about 45%.

Interesting information I did not know about with the CO2 increasing the humidity a lot, most home growers neglect humidity control and it can really have an impact on your garden. I will have to get a dehumidifier I guess since I plan to start CO2

It's not really the CO2 that increases humidity (although humidity is a byproduct of burning a fossil fuel to produce CO2, but it's pretty negligible in the grand scheme of things), it's the fact that to administer CO2 you need to stop intake/exhaust, which causes humidity to skyrocket.

You definitely need a dehuey (unless you're in the Rocky Mountains, as some of the CO growers actually needs humidifiers).

And Jack's new timing with his aerocloner is 30 seconds on / 15 minutes off (according to his thread).

I looked into one of those fixed cycle timers that Jack uses for his cloner. They are like $70. I decided to just use a standard 15 minute incriment timer. I set it to 15 on then 15 off. Solved my water temp problem and now getgood results.

Thanks RMCG! That timer is half the price of the one (Sentinal) I saw at the hydro store. Might be picking this up for future needs.

If you are handy, there is a DIY tutorial on here to make it yourself.

:bongsmi:I have a danby also.. great machine. When its cold enough you could switch to dehumid mode to get the numbers your looking for. I also have a dehumidifier, the only bummer is that it puts out some extra heat. THeres no ducting needed with a dehumid either.

Its been on dehumidify and maintaining 70 degrees, but humidity isn't dropping below 65%. I am gonna have to play around with it a little more.

Ya, when the plants start perspiring more from the CO2 increasing there production it will have to be addressed.

Its starting to look that way. Trying to use the built in one atm. 75 pints/day it claims.

Posted up!! Its been a crazy last 5 days.

Looks like the mystery strain (plant it came off of, is flowering at a friends and hopefully we will know what it is soon!) is still recovering. We thought there might be a little root rot (I noticed it and after a few days was going away on its own), so we increased the dose of great white and roots excelerator just as a preemptive.

Cheesus is killing it, still no signs of Flowering on 3rd day, today may be the day we notice tho...

We may combine the rooms somehow and use 1 a/c to dehumidify and the other to cool. Not sure how we are gonna go about that yet. CO2 is tricky. If the a/c is sucking it out, how quickly will the tanks empty? Things we need to figure out. Dual or Quad zone mini split will be next grow.

Killing it bro... I can't wait to see how the cheesus turns out. I've been thinking about trying it out for some time now. And I really love the guardian monitor, it looks really cool.

Peace. :passingjoint:

Hey i forgot to ask! how do you like that bluelab monitor?

They work great, we have 1 in each room. Glad we got the screen showing all 3 at the same time.

Yeah, just tried some local cheesus :passingjoint: and like it a lot. I am looking forward to these. Hopefully they will be come out good!

Everywhere I've read says Cheesus only yields 120 grams max...we will see how we do.

You may be better off going with two separate units, most of the time you will save allot of money doing that! But I can get the dual, Triple, quads, and the best pricing on single zone too.

Let me know if I can help!:smiley_joint:
